@Zeus I’ll try the next time I get on multiplayer. Do I need to switch to DF everytime I receive data, or just once is enough?

@LorikEolmin TMS Down most of the time. It resets the deltas, so I assumed it has the same effect as cursor zeroing

@LorikEolmin said in 4.37.3u2 - A-G DL XMIT issues:
Cursor Zero, do you
Sorry, missing step between ICP 0 to change and HSD as SOI. Cursor zero (or TMS down) pressed multiple times.

4.37.3u2 - A-G DL XMIT issues
Description: When receiving/sending markpoints intra-flight over VHF, the location of the markpoint is not accurate as seen through the TGP, which jumps to an area about 200 meters away from the actual markpoint. However, moving the TGP a little bit will cause the TGP to jump to the area near the actual intended markpoint.
Repro steps:
- Launch Danger Close TE
- Fly to Stpt 6. Set AG DL to own flight via VHF.
- A couple of trucks should be visible directly at steerpoint 6 and a few moving trucks should be visible northeast of the city. Mark them with the following steps:
- ICP 7 (MARK) page, select TGP
- TMS UP when over target once to ground stabilize, another time to mark
- ICP 0 (M-SEL) to change current stpt to latest markpoint
- HSD as SOI
- IFF-IN to transmit data packet
- Upon reception of data by flight member, go to Stpt 71 (or whichever data point was sent)
- Verify that the marked location is not as intended
Please let me know if any additional information is necessary. Thanks!

RE: 4.37.3 - Crash to Desktop, full Dump file included
@tiag I didn’t frag the flight by mistake, nor was it done in MC. I believe it’s the engine that generated it.

RE: 4.37.3 - Crash to Desktop, full Dump file included
@tiag Managed to un-bug it by going to Mission Editor to take a look. I noticed that my squadron has fragged a ‘QRA’ type flight that I did not request. Removing that flight seems to solve the CTD issue.
I hope this helps!

4.37.3 - Crash to Desktop, full Dump file included
Hi all, I’ve experienced a CTD in my 4.37.3 campaign suddenly and have tried deleting d3d11.dsp to no avail. Dogfight and other TE’s work as intended.
This crash happened immediately upon the completion of an Interdiction mission. Edits via Mission Commander have been made, but only to increase the number of available aircraft and changing the aircraft type of 14th FS.
Full dump file is as follows from the Google Drive Link:

[4.37.3] FLIR HUD image not showing for wingmen in multiplayer
I’m encountering a bug whereby people connected to my server (IVC off, if that even affects anything) do not see any FLIR image on their HUDs.
Steps of operation:
. Switch FLIR page to OPER through the MFD.
. Verify that the CONT knob is set as desired
. Click the FLIR rocker switch until desired brightness is set. The FLIR image in the MFD should increase in brightness when this is increased.
. HUD should show the FLIR image overlaid to the actual terrain. Is anyone else encountering this issue?

RE: 4.37.3 Multiplayer Blue Text bug
Hi there, thanks for your response!
I’m hosting the server on my own public IP address. The client is connected to me via P2P.
I have 1gbps internet, and I have set the download to 51200 and upload to 7168. These settings should be fine, right? I believe the host also has similar specifications, and uses the same settings as me too.
Could I know what the brute force method is as well? Thanks!

4.37.3 Multiplayer Blue Text bug
Hi everyone,
My friend and I were playing a multiplayer campaign when this happened:
This text appearing caused the game to freeze, but the host was still active. According to tacview, it looks like the connection was momentarily lost. Could anyone advise on the following:
- Is this a bug or a network connectivity issue?
- If it is a network connectivity issue, is it from the host’s side, or the client’s side?
- How to mitigate/reduce the occurance of this issue if it is a bug?
Thanks!

@tiag Thanks for the opportunity! I dropped you a PM

RE: Multiplayer Campaign Victory
@CheckPoint I tried doing that by reversing the event condition (undoing Event #17 in Balkans’ Balance of Power campaign), but the final town’s ownership will not be changed even in Mission Editor. Have you had any experience with this?

Multiplayer Campaign Victory
Hi all,
If I have had many flights in an online campaign and quit before victory conditions were met (or if I weren’t present when the last objective city is captured), will the campaign not be scored for me? Or is it possible that the host simply re-host the campaign save file in its victory state and connecting will log me the campaign victory?
Thanks!

Balkans - No Movie
I noticed that for certain conditions in some campaigns (i.e., re-capturing Split or Sarajevo in the Balance Of Power campaign), the .tri file specifies that a video clip (Movie 103) should play.
However upon checking the Movies folder in the Balkans Add-on folder, no such movie exists. Is this intended, or are there additional files to download somewhere?

RE: "Smoothed" lateral head motions with parallel rendering?
@Seifer said in “Smoothed” lateral head motions with parallel rendering?:
l d
I use a Meta Quest Pro at the moment, and connect to BMS via Airlink. I will try it on VD and see if there is any discernable difference when parallel render is turned to ‘1’

@gankailer I also noticed this and it was one of the main reasons I turned parallel rendering off.
I have turned off parallel rendering as well due to this, as the movements are more crisp, but that definitely comes at the cost of good FPS. With a 5800X3D this isn’t too bad, of course, but in situations whereby many draw calls and calculations are made (such as being on the ground and loading the TGP, or looking at a burning column with lots of explosions), the FPS can really take a hit.

"Smoothed" lateral head motions with parallel rendering?
I noticed that when parallel rendering was set to “1”, the VR image looks as if it has been smoothed, I.e., there is a little bit of deceleration when you move your head up and down and suddenly stop. It leads to a somewhat “floaty” feeling in the cockpit.
While this increases FPS, it also feels quite uncomfortable. Is anyone else experiencing this, or is it just me?
P. S, To my understanding from what has been shared by the devs before, it’s due to serializing the sim and render threads to avoid a race condition; I wonder if this is a BMS engine limitation, or if this will eventually be “solved” and optimised.

RE: Anomalous performance on VR
@SoBad @1508AD oh man I’m not sure I could deal with the shadowless cockpit though Really waiting on BMS to release 4.38 now so the graphics will be on par at least with DCS

RE: Anomalous performance on VR
@Seifer yes, I meant that I set it to 1. Oops!
