Good afternoon,
I would like to fly another plane than the F-16 (like Rafale, Mirage etc) but having the cockpit of the F-16 and the wing views of the F-16. How can it be done? What files should be edited to get it possible?
Thanks.

Hi @AlejandroFAV-0
You can use the Editor to modify or add weapons on your jet.
Select the F-16 type you want to add the R-550 Magic missile, select the pylon where your weapon has to be mounted and save the loadout configuration.
Hi @SOKO,
You can use the cockpit files only without the sound files.
Hi @vandroy, where are you this skin from? I like it very much.
Hi @okayasugf
I have installed the Sheref’s cockpits from the link above and tested with the new BMS 4.37.3 and it seems to work fine with me. I read that some F-16 cockpits have been slightly updated with 4.37.3 but I tried and it is fine to me.
Greetings.
Hi @Quasi_Stellar,
Where is this skin coming from? I like the paint on the tail.

Hi @cchaparro,
The only way I found to successfully destroy SA-10 radars with HARM’s is to ingress at very low altitude. The best is to use the HAD-mode accessible when the aircraft carries a HTS pod . As soon as the SA-10 warning shows up on your RWR and appears on your MFD, you can lock the target and launch your HARM. Then proceed to an evasive maneuver flying at low level and releasing some flares. If you fly at high altitude, you will be down for sure or the SA-10 will destroy your HARM if you have launched one. As soon as the radars are down (flap lid and big bird), then the SA-10 launchers are blind: then you can fly over the area at high altitude. I hope it helps.
Good luck!
It is always a trade-off between game performance and graphical quality. This is exactly the reason why I use BMS for years: for me, it is the best simulator I have ever played with. No simulator goes above BMS. I am using a laptop computer and I run at 30~40 fps with the game settings at their maximum.
Hi @CloudWallace1981.
The use of different models makes that the one may interfere with another. The JanHas models are modifying the *.dat files of the F-16’s in the folder Acdata. I see that the sounds of Sheref make necessary these files to be modified as well. If you want to use both textures (JanHas and Sheref), then you need to open each dat-file modified by JanHas and insert/modify the lines with the Sheref-modifications. It is work intensive but it is what I do if I want to combine different models sharing the same files. Just select an evening of the week when there is nothing interesting on TV and go for it
@Amadeus75 . Okay! I give up! I have to admit that you are right.
Your explanation is crystal clear. Thanks.
Thanks @sheref .
A small observation: I see that the digits of the channel indication remain off even when the radio unit is switched on. Have you observed that?
Despite of this, the communication with wingman, tower etc is okay,
Hi @danster, I assume that the files in the zip-folder “All F-16_s Cockpit Textures.7z” need to be copied in the BMS-folder C:\Falcon BMS 4.37\Data\Terrdata\Objects\KoreaObj_HiRes. The file sca-file contained in the zip-folder “cockpit texture need it.7z” should probably be written in the folder C:\Falcon BMS 4.37\Data\Engine\Shaders\Cache\D3D11\PS. You can use the Mod Enabler JSGME (the same used to enable the JanHas models) to enable or disable any new skin/texture you want to try.
Hi @sheref,
Nice work! I am still flying with the cockpit that you have shared some time ago. Nice piece of art.
Hello @Obi1 ,
I believe that the reflected shadows on both MFD’s are correct. Just like mirrors: if you have 2 mirrors, you obtain the same reflected image. Why should the shadows be asymmetric?
Hi @CheckPoint,
I would understand the effect of the wind direction and strength with a free fall bomb but I don’t understand this effect with a GBU weapon. Why don’t we observe this effect with a LGB and with a GBU-31? These weapons are always reaching their targets. A GPS-assisted weapon should compensate its flight path for external factors like the wind and “land” where we expect him to be. Is it possible that the JASSM is missing the target because of the (lack of) accuracy of GPS coordinates of the ground target?
Hello @Hubert3000 ,
As mentioned earlier in this post, the JASSM is a GPS guided weapon. The weapon is launched towards the active steerpoint selected in the DED. It means that the location of the steerpoint must be at the GPS location of the target. So, if you carry a target pod, you can point and designate a ground target in order to get the exact GPS coordinates of the ground target. Enter the GPS coordinates in the UFC using the ICP: open the DEST page in the DED by depressing LIST followed by the numerical keys 1. Toggle the DEST page to STPT of the target location and enter the LAT and the LNG coordinates and the elevation of the target location. Repeat these steps for other targets at other steerpoints. On the HSD page on the MFD, you will see that the modified GPS coordinates in the DEST page will move the waypoints onto the target(s) location(s).
To release the weapon, select the steerpoint from the HSD page of the MFD where the ground target is located. Fly towards the waypoint and release the weapon when the target is in range (JLZ). I can hit all the ground targets with the JASSM by doing that way.
This procedure is identical as the one for the JDAM described in the 4.36 manual. I agree with you that something has changed between with the update to 4.37.2. With the previous version, I could designate the target with the target pod and enter the GPS coordinates in the weapon using the MARK key (key 7 of the ICP).
Let me know if it helps.
Best regards and good flight!
Thank you for the pack @cougar56th . I don’t see a lot of activities on the site of Jan Has since last February. Do you have any news about the update progress of some skins. I see some interesting skins (F-16AM RJAF, F-16BM-RNoAF or F-16C-50 HAF) that are not updated yet. I have two questions for you:
Thanks.
@sheref It looks very nice! Thank you for your work.
