Guidedview.txt

@jc1:
The 4.33 BMS Manual on page 9-108 mentions a file name Guidedview.txt. Where does that file come from or how do you create it?
Edit:
Then I put these two lines at the end of C:\Falcon BMS 4.33\Data\Art\ckptart\F-16CM-50:
customview 0.015883 0.040278 0.018326 1.458329 -26.396080 0.007139 20.000004 “Right MFD” 1;
customview 0.000000 -0.000000 0.000000 1.108329 -21.909981 -0.164438 30.000002 “RWR ICP DED” 1;
Ctl 6 shows a message on screen “Custom 3D Pit Mode Activated”
Alt 6 and Alt 7 is supposed to show the next custom view and previous custom view, but nothing happens.
So how do you get these custom views to work?Selected the right ac for testing -> CM50 ?
Correct syntax -> e.g. quote tags?@jc1:
check ac:
check syntax:
Still, Not working.
Also, the 4.33 BMS Manual on page 9-108 mentions a file name Guidedview.txt. Where does that file come from or how do you create it?I verified what Kolbe said I should do, but I’m still not able to make the new 4.33 feature, customview, work. Has anyone got this working?

The answer to this is quite easy:
Either something has changed (without my knowledge) or I simply made a mistake.
I know for sure this worked a couple of weeks prior to relese when I wrote the 3d cockpits section.Interestingly it doesn’t seem to work anymore. I just tried it a couple of times without having success.
I need to ask someone who can answer this.
Stay tuned. -

It turns out that I made a mistake.
After some more tests it works as described. -

this is the right syntax ?
costumview 0.066418 0.007472 0.004713 -6.697581 -29.916838 0.010588 119.999992 “autopilot” 1;nojoy

You must modify each file.dat for each aircraft type
-
dont see anything in 1, tried the maverick TE’s too
and yes it’s added in every pit

Got to revise that it works. It worked for TE #1 which has a F-16B-15. It did not work when I revised the cockpit art for F-16CM-50 and tried it in TE #10.
Hey Kolbe, Why won’t it work with F-16B-16?
-
I don’t know.
It should work the way it is described in the manual.But I will test a little more tomorrow.
You just need to be carful using the right syntax and to edit the correct .dat files.

Hi Kolbe, I too have created a customview following the instructiosn to a “T”, added to all the f-16’s, got it to work with 1 of them, but also cannot get it to work in the CM-50 Model F-16 in the Harm TE, (or several others as well). Per chance have you discovered anything different yet?
-
Well I think I found the solution to that customview problem : You must use the good " for the descriptions. The ones straight and not the others… I changed mine and it works !

I only have and use the good quotation marks for my statements (in fact don’t even know how to get the slanted quotation marks). All works well for pits EXCEPT in the f-16 CM-50 Model. No luck in that one for some reason at all!

Oops sorry. I tried with the wrong plane (F-16 CM-52) ! Same for me with the F-16 CM-50
-
I did some test.
Don’t know why but if you add the custom view to the 3dckpit.dat in ckptart folder (not the one in the F-16CM-50 folder) then it works even for the F-16CM-50. -
I will check that point crysli as currently it is not working.
edit yes it works and by applying (modifying the file) even the zoom in the 2D cockpit.
