Saitek X-52 Profile
-
Ok now that everything is working I have one more question:
The second detent on the trigger on my X52 doesn’t work. For whatever reason it just….stopped. Doesn’t work anywhere (control panel, etc) so it must be mechanical. Meh.
So I need to change the mapping on the trigger from Brakes to Gun, ideally would like to put the brakes in Mode 3 or something, maybe pinky switch. I am at a loss on how to change mappings since nothing is tied to the SST software - how can I do this?
Can you copy and post a copy of your keyfile? When you post, paste the file between the # ‘code’ tags …. like so:
test
If I can see your keyfile, I might be able to give you the correct command lines to swap/change/replace.

I actually sort of figured this out, but I may have somehow broke the profile in the process because now everytime I load it my CPU usage shoots up to 50% and I get random blue screens:
-
Definitely not normal. I loaded HD’s profile for the X52 pro and only got, about, a 0% - 3% difference in CPU use.
I didn’t realize you’d settled on HD’s profile. I might have been able to give a better answer earlier …. just didn’t realize.
-
Think I may have found it - I unprogrammed the Speed Brakes from the slider and the CPU usage appears to have dropped to almost nothing - will keep an eye on it.
Wonder why that would cause a spike?

The slider is notoriously ‘spikey’. You can see it jitter in the windows/game controller panel. Maybe it was ‘on’/spiking continuously and using up CPU cycles?

I think was designed with track-ir in mind after looking at HD’s controller and stick diagram. Correct? I do not have track-ir so no use. Right? Unless I reassign the POV1 for viewing around in the cockpit. But that I guess takes away from his design.

I worked with Hard~Deck to do exactly that before I had TrackIR. Although not well documented (sorry about that; I didn’t really expect to share it), the version for no TrackIR is available (to use as is, or as a baseline to modify for personal preference).

Thank u Agave_Blue. It is Saturday, and I a some time to view the opportunity you presented in your last message on the 4th. I appreciate your efforts and time spent providing the link above. I am now going to click it.

Just wondering if anyone has taken the time to update this profile keyfile for BMS 4.33 yet and would like to share it?
-
There seems to be a lot of functions that are not working correctly using this file on 4.33. I used this on 4.32 and it was by far my favorite layout.
-
I have a question for anyone happens to see it please help!
Is there any tutorial or pdf that has all the button names and what exactly they do?
So that I can have a reference not only on their location on the keyboard or Joystick but also on their actual functionality?Thanx alot!

Click on the Documentation and Manuals link after opening Launcher, look:
Then go to Key Files & Input\Keyboard Layout Files folder and open BMS Keyboard Layout (US Int).pdf

The file doesn’t appear to be present any longer on firstfighterwing.com
Also will it work for both pro and non pro x52?Thanks!

Hey Hard~Deck may I ask you about something?
I own a x52 and I’m trying to do what you did, I am pretty sure you mapped the keys in x52 with the Profiler ?? Because for me the Profiler doesn’t seem to work ://
What happens is, when I load any profile and I run any game, after 5 minutes or so, I lose control of my Joystick … but then when I unload all profiles and not using the profiler anymore… I get it to work flawlessly, no loose of any control, everything runs just fine (only problem is that I can’t map multiple profile, or use pinky switch as a shift function…) what am I doing wrong? -

Just realized I didn’t specify which file I was talking about.

Yes. I took the BMS 4.32 file(s) down due to changes in callbacks and/or keyboard assignments.
I do have a no-TrackIR version for the X52 Pro that is 4.33 compatible posted, but that doesn’t really people in this thread.

Hi thanks for the profile. I am new to trackir and have a trackir pro 5. In your readme it says pause is shift f2. center works but when I use shift f2 it does not seem to pause. the reason I ask is I wear bifocals and thought that this would pause track ir so I could move my head without changing my view. Am I wrong or am I doing something wrong because when I use shift f2 it does nothing.
Never Mind figured it out.

Hello everyone,
Can someone help me with opening an (.rar) file for some reason BitTorrent won’t take it?
-
Use 7-Zip or WinRAR …. both free downloads.
