MP: all jets flameout and deepstall suddenly
-
Same happened to me too in single player campaign. Ran the same mission again and all was fine.
I was taking a few screenshots prior
This is quite easy to do, get your and wingmen F-16’s in view (outside and spam screen shot key)
Near flot or fps heavy areas seems to result more this bug/feature

pleased report if it happened in Sp
this is critical to know

Yes, only SP thing for me, and Looks like it wont hapen 100% of time. Bad weather and lots of F-16s nearby seems to give it more often.
I can test more tonight
-
Mav-jp this is easy to reproduce…
have like 3 programs take screenshot with the same keystroke and you will witness it.
Let’s say Falcon - Fraps and badicam or Softth or sweetfx. In the past this was the case if you where on low fps and get a screenshot. The larger the resolution the biggest the problem.
I never witnessed the flameout but the stall or kind of drop off on AI yes. -
are there any news on the problem with the server?
We had this several times too, and we think it could be caused by manual weather settings? Why do we think so:
1st. We tried the same TE twice with the same amount of players and the same Server-Settings and included hand-made weather. Result: Both Flights ended at almost the same ingame time by flameout and unrecoverable deepstall
2nd. We tried the TE a third time with the same amount of players and Server-Settings but without the weather. Result: all went well and stableI dont wanted to sound like we are sure of the problems being caused by the weather. It’s possible, like other things could be the reason for this problem too.
It would be really great, if someone could come up with a solution, that he found

are you saying that taking a screenshot makes all aircraft in the worls deep stall, including AI and all other players ?
you description looks like a suddend freezing of the time frame which can explain all AC going mad.
in the bug we are chasing there is no freezing of the time….

Cylon attack ?

I believe we where talking about SP. right? so in SP there is one human pilot only all the rest are AI.

ar all AI impacted in SP as well ?? because in Mp when it happens they do !
-
Can’t say about all of the AI flights, but according to the debrief, my wingman also ejected.

Same thing happened to our flights last night. 11 pilots in the flight. All deep stalled. ACMI recordings showed that as one of our pilots hit the ground at high speed trying to dodge a SAM, all of our planes simultaneously went into a deep stall precisely at the moment of impact. A couple of us tried recreating the issue and sure enough crashing at high speed (350 knots or greater) caused the deep stalls for other pilots.

This is weird, i dont get deep stall if i crash, least in SP.
But i cant get this bug anyhow done anymore. I have different weather map now, maybe it depends weather also?
I Keep trying tonight again.

I’ll pick up this thread because we still have this strange deep stall issue in multiplayer games.
Tonight we did a mission with 5 clients connected to a dedicated server and shortly after take off, all (human) aircrafts went into a deep stall. Server was in 3D.
We switched then to another host (one of the clients was hosting the game) and the mission went perfectly.
It looks like it’s not a bandwidth nor a weather problem.
Fortunately I was able to take logs on the dedicated server and at the time the deep stall occurred, the logs had following strange entries:

This is a known issue and has been addressed. Will have to wait for the fix to be released.
Did someone crash into the ground when it happened? That usually is how it is triggered if someone crashes into the ground at high speed.
-
Awesome, sounds like an Update 1 is in the works then…
-
No crash at all.

As I’m frequently in dogfight-module doing bfm and acm-training always in mp, i’v experienced this atleast 10 times. I’m happy to see its recognized and waiting to be fixed.
Cheers!
