Not being able to reach Air Source knob
-
Hi,
After installing the Delay Clip, I’m trying to reach the Air Source knob under the arm rest on the right side. Is there a way to be able to see it beside looking under the arm rest? Maybe some kind of 2D version of this panel? Or some version of the cockpit without the arm rest?
Thanks.

Someone might have an edited cockpit 3D model but… nope. The cursor color change and snapping (both options in cfg) are all you need to click right through that pesky arm rest. Give it a single LMB and you know you’re in NORM. If you get lost right click 101 times and the LMB once.
-
also, if you’re using TRACKIR, you can adjust your viewing angle by leaning forward a little and see the knob as well.

I can see “ORM” [NORM] and a little of the rotary dial when I use the mouse to rotate around past the Air Conditioning Panel. Also I can see the switch rotate and land on [NORM] when I left click OR disappear to go to “OFF” when I right click. There is just a little satisfaction from that feedback [no track ir for me ]. Mostly though, its easy, as Frederf said, to left and right click on the arm rest.

No need of TIR. Using the mouse (and centrer button IIRC), you can move the torso and move you POV forward like with the Track IR.

If all you are trying to do is rampstart then no need to see it. Just click on the top of the armrest upright to move it to required position. You can hear the click and see on warning panel if overheat showing. Once familiar it’s without thought. Been doing that way for years because it’s the fastest method.

Like he said. Also, as you move the cursor over the armrest, when you hit the right spot the yellow “mouse x” will turn into a green “knob circle”
This is another personal preference thing. I’ve tried turning myself into Gumby(with TIr), and I’ve set up a HOTAS switch"(shift+alt+, and. for airsource down and up, btw). Now I just “click the armrest” -

Just guess where it is and you’ll be able to click it, I’ve got legs mod installed for 52 and even with TrackIR I can’t see the ejection seat arm but I just guess and find it and click, you’ll get used to it the more you fly.

2D mode, then joystick hat switch right, then hat switch down
…might be hat right, hat right, then hat down… I forget. It’ll be obvious. -
Thanks Dee-Jay.
Just to be clear: To move your head in the cockpit so you can look around obstructions, use the 3rd mouse button to click and drag (make sure Dynamic Head Sensitivity in Setup > Controllers > Advanced is dragged far enough to the right). If you move the mouse wheel to see closer, reset to the default view by clicking the center mouse button.
Now I can see the AIR COND panel, EPU FUEL gauge, ENG CONT PRI/SEC switch (when the engine is running), and lots of stuff inside/outside the cockpit!
