4.33 UI vs 4.33 FPS

Disable SLi or Xfire until bms supports it.
I’ll continue to fight you on this jhook

Afr2 sli works for me with performance improvementsNo need to fight. There are several threads on this subject.
There are others that detail how SLi/Xfire have issues. Maybe 4.331 has better support for SLi/Xfire. Don’t know as I would have to test that. Been REAL BUSY as of late. Only downloaded 4.331 I have yet to install and set up. Perhaps a dev can chime in on the latest version and SLi/Xfire for 4.331

In general, neither is supposed to improve with anything DX9. IIRC Viral, you run multiple monitors which may be the exception.

True. In the thread I posted, we discussed that same set up. Disabling SLi/Xfire but using multi monitors through multiple cards got several guys up and running well.

It worked good for my 3 monitor setup in 4.33. The new 4.33 U1 cant say yet for sure except I have some issues,

For those having an FPS drop, check that your GPU clock is not stuck in power saving mode.
I run a triple screen setup with two 780s and Max performance GPU modr was not kicking in on one of the cards.
That can have multiple causes, for example the default 3d profile has adaptive power mode enabled and we have not created an specific profile for the new U1 .exe file.
That was mi case. I created a new profile with nvidia inspector for the new U1 exe and changed the default adaptive power mode to maximum performance and adjust the rest of parameters accordingly as they were for 4.33.
Now everything works as it should.

I would also point out that it seems like the only reports of frame rate hits seem to have been on Nvidia cards. I have an AMD and have seen an increase, also several Nvidia guys have seen an increase as well. I really think this is something with Nvidia configuration or even driver versions.

I agree.

My results on Nvidia GTX770 is the following (vertex lighting, no HDR, no fancy water or raindrops):
4.33 - 59 FPS
4.33.U1 - 89 FPSHUGE IMPRVEMENT! Many thanks, BMS team!!!
-
For me it’s so and so … but seems more fluid.
-
Confirmed - definite 30% improvement for 4.33.1 on Intel Core i5 2500K (O/C to 4.2GHz); ASUS P8Z68-V LX; 8GB DDR3; AMD R9 380; Windows 7 64 bit, using same configuration as 4.33 - yet to try switching on more goodies. Currently achieving smooth 25-35 FPS on AGM-65 Training TE with TGP and MAV WPN extracted with MFDE onto 2x 7" LCD which I am v happy with!
-
With everything maxxed out in BMS and all graphics options on in BMS and no driver options on. Looks gorgeous and flies smooth as silk.
70-80 FPS on AGM-65 Training TE with TGP and MAV WPN. Vsync on (for tearing) and NEVER goes below 60 fps even on crowded airbases, or over FLOT.
Intel Core i7 3930K (O/C to 4.5GHz), GTX 980ti SC, 32GB DDR4,Windows 7 64 bit
Nice work BMS!!! -
Tweaking has not fixed the fps hit for me. I once ran 3 monitors at 60-80fps its down to 40-50 on the harm training TE. On the AGM-65 Training TE in 4.33 I would get 40-50s now 20-30fps. Big change in the wrong direction for me but going to make it work somehow.

Looks like I got It close to where it was in 4.33. I used some of the setting found here http://s51.photobucket.com/user/cptpfsuk7/media/afrrrr_zpsc04e92c5.png.html hopefully this can help some one else.
All is good again!

Interesting ShepT - why did you go for GPU controlled Anisotropic filtering but BMS controlled Anti-Aliasing?
-
It might be because the new anisotropic filter .cfg line in U1 defaults to maximum available if you don’t change. Maybe he prefers to have it at the video card configuration level instead of the .cfg.

Post #37 re: Vertex lighting brought a clear improvement. I hadn’t thought of that.
