YAME64 suite

Rocco,
Thanks for this.
Set it up today and all seems to be working good and smooth. 64 bit server, 32 bit client over network. My question is how to I get the bezel to display on gauges like the RWR and Fuel gauge?
I’d like to have the range rings for the RWR displayed.
I see it in the gauges directory …
Thanks in advance. For RWR you can set this tag in the config.xml
gauges/rwr.png
in the RWR section. Something like this
<rwr><width>250</width>
<height>250</height>
<posx>8</posx>
<posy>585</posy>
<visible>false</visible>
<window>YAME</window>
gauges/rwr.png
<shader>shaders/noblend.frag</shader></rwr>For the fuel it should load the gauges/fuel.png file, you can look into the log.txt file located in the same folder as the YAME32_client.exe and report if something has failed.

I believe u also need to change shader to blend.frag for the transparacy. Otherwise u only see a static picture

OK, Thanks for the tips.
Second question, is there a way to get the MFDs to display correctly when flying the hornet?
-
Not sure, what mode are you using for extraction? Hook or MFD normal?
-
Not possible now change the mfd coordinate for the hornet. i can change in the next release if needed

Hmm, I’ve only tried in Hook mode.

Roccio
Have you had any luck with exporting the F18 Digital Eng / Fuel Panel?

I can export this if you want. I will add those in a next release. For now we are fixing all the f16 stuff.

thank you…trying to make an f18 helios panel

I am using the YAME32_client for display of my center pedestal gauges. Is there a way for the black CP window to cover the entire screen, including the task bar? I realize then, there would need to be a hot key to exit back to desktop. I used Falcongauges 4.0 in the past for my CP display and it had this ability.

You can set fullscreen and no borders in the xml parameters.

Setting the CP window fullscreen setting to ‘true’ in the config file seems to have no affect in what I see. I am trying to achieve a completely black screen (no task bar and no desktop background image around the border) except for the five CP gauges (altimeter, air speed, HSI, VVI, and AoA). Is that possible?

Yes, it works with mine. See screenshot. Full screen second monitor with black background and no borders.
Do I understand correctly you have a windows task bar on your extraction monitor? Then you use that monitor as your nr 1 monitor and run bms on another non-main monitor?
I have my extractions on a screen that does not contain the windows menu/task bar. That’s a better solution then having your second screen being the main monitor and running bms on another secondary monitor. Best to place your non-main screens above the main screen so that their left top coordinates are negative. That way when your main screen resolution changes, it never affects the extractions, and don’t have the issue of task bar. -
Thanks for your help FD. BMS is running on my primary computer (with YAME64_server). I am running the CP instruments on a secondary computer (with YAME32_client). At the moment, the CP display is the only requirement for this secondary computer and display - no other displays connected to the second computer, so I have task bar present on this screen.

aha that explains it.
In windows you can set an option to have the windows task bar hidden and only come up when your mouse goes all the way down to the bottom.
That plus this code in the window should do it.<fullscreen>true</fullscreen> <border>false</border> <background>000000</background> ```Be sure to have your width & height also exactly the screen resolution size, and then just place x & y coordinates to 0 & 0.

If you need only one window for your extraction just use only the window named YAME (see config.xml). Set all the gauges you need to have on that window with <window>YAME</window> and delete the <window>… that you do not need.
We (me and focaldesign) are working on an editor for the next version to make configuration easy.</window> -
Nobody else has reported high cpu use with clients both 32 and 64bit of 25%. What might be causing it ?

Roccio and I have been working on a New version past 2 months. CPU usage is now average 3-5%.
Expect lots of New stuff (UI for setup, 3dhook without server when 1 pc, over half of gauges redone based in real pictures, mlu-specific stuff, lots of extra extractions etc) -
It seemed I was the only one with high cpu (still not sure if that true or not) and if was the case no update was likely to fix a unique issue. Thanks for the news and continued developments.

Missed this msg, good news, thanks.
Any planning for a release date?
