If you ask AWACS for the closest friendly base, it gives its direction and TACAN channel. I think it would be great if AWACS also gave its tower frequency.
No clear freq on freq … Refer to your comm’s plan.

Agreed, this should be fixed. it’s a bit weird for BMS to allow such loadouts while on some other aspects we limit payloads on the sake of realism….

Right, I’m surprised it doesn’t drive more people’s OCD crazy, given the attention to detail and obsession with realism around here. I appreciate all the effort involved and I realize they’re just WIP but let’s please fix this one in 4.33u2
Easy fix!It’s such an immersion breaker when I’m on the carrier and see the other flights. Or flying my viper around and there are two flights of Über Hornets conducting a sweep with 100+ amraams between them.
The only solution for now is to frag all the flights myself… but I don’t always want to have to micro-manage 3-4 extra squadrons.

– Results in very odd slews with the TGP (makes laser mech difficult)
– Results in difficult & sloppy radar mech - Fix El Strobe (magnitude of roll vs how much elevation el strobe changes)
– Should not be as touchy as it currently is
Must Haves:
- Avionics suite brought up to M6.2 (USAF will be moving to M7.1 soon with complete avionics overhaul i.e. ATD)
- Correct MFD options
- Correct DED options
- Correct Sniper/Litening Gen 4 pod implementation (simple things like CZ with TMS AFT, menus, etc.)
- Correct HTSP implementation brought up to R7.7
- Correct implementation of WPN page
- Implementation of Link 16 with J messages (no one uses IDM/IDT)
- Correct color palettes
- Overhaul of HSD
- Overhaul of HAD
- Overhaul of FCR (i.e. correct CTRL options with features like auto-sort, etc.)
– Block 40 vs 50 radar - HOG knob to go to GUN in A-G
- Fix ACM Slewable (altitude should NOT change with pitch)
Nice to Have:
- Full EGI (i.e. no separate GPS/INS like the older avionics suites)
- EP Trainer & Malfunctions mode (would imagine this would lead to overhaul of how specific systems are implemented i.e. MAIN GEN, STBY GEN, EPU GEN, etc.)
- RALT default to ON
- Default to BARO instead of AUTO (no one flies in AUTO)
- Update Exterior Lighting Panel (allows flight members to select different settings for night formation)

Yah the HTSP, ALE-50, TGP, and L16 are so important in the real jet so it would be nice if we could bring this up to what’s currently used.

With the Z axis, could you explain whats wrong with it, and how it affects radar and TGP mech? I could see the x and y axes getting improvements in that area, but whats wrong with the Z axis?

Correct! And what I’ve noticed compared to the real jet is that it’s off by about 30 degrees. When I go to slew the radar or TGP it’s just not natural like it is in the real jet. I will try to collect some data points the next time I fly or at least hit the sim.

As mentioned, it’s not classified but the documents are pretty controlled (i.e. -1, -34-1, etc.) However, the real world implementation of that stuff is classified. I don’t see why we cannot integrate some of that stuff into the sim. For example, L16 would be such a game-changer in terms of how this sim is played. The flight model is pretty damn similar to the real jet (obviously some minor differences in there), but the avionics needs to be updated a little bit.

I suspect it’s not that easy to implement it, but one small feature I believe could come in useful, would be a digital readout next to sliders, maybe with possibility to write in that box to fine-tune the value.
In my opinion, it could be especially useful for visibility sliders, where you don’t really have a clue where the VFR/IFR division is, or where to set the marker to have visibility that is both bad and good enough for IFR procedures like RATD, SID, ILS, …
+1 this one. We need to be able to set the exact mileage not just slide up and down the slider. We need to know if it’s 2 SM, or 10 SM or more!
