Thanks Jordan. I will test this afternoon.

Have you tried 1.1 point tracker? I had the jitters with 1.0, i found 1.1 to be lot better…
-
Not yet. I have seen some videos using faceAPI and results are impressive but it was in other sims. I would like to know if it’s possible to get same results in bms.
-
Tested, Jordan. Your current profile works very nice using faceAPI with MacBook Pro iSight camera without any leds. Impressive!!!
Thanks a lot and good job. Now I can go anywhere with bms. -
I thought I’d asked this question on this thread as it does sort of relate. Is it possible to change the starting position of your head when you enter the cockpit, I’m always too close to the hud, so when I rotate the mouse wheel to move backwards the dials are out of focus. any help would be great, I want to get back into this great sim, but need to get this sorted out first.

Yes there is such a button. You first have to change your head position so it is where you want to have it centered. After that you have to push the button. I don’t know exactly where you can find it but you will have to use a key binding. I always do that in the beginning when entering 3D world.

Ah could this be the on called game zero? I have been using the one called center which just brings me back to the original position.

Yup that is the one. Also make a key binding for that one as you do with center button. Using these two buttons it will make it all possible to set it up as you want. Just make sure that your reflectors or diodes stay within camera range. Enjoy

Nice one Basher, sorted. Now one more question is there a setting to calm down the head movement just a tad, it’s a bit lively.?

I think it is called average or something or smoothening. It will make it a it less responsive but more solid in game.

I couldn’t detect much difference with that setting. What I have now tried is using ewma filter and playing with those settings, do you use the translation inputs or should I disable them. I can’t seem a need to roll my head ect. I think only a real pilot would need to lift his head to see more of the would beneath him such as ground crew.

I certainly use translation. Start out with just yaw for example and fine tune to your needs. Next do the same thing for pitch and all the others. It’s not easy to get it right but keep fine tuning until your happy. Then make sure to save it
