@AV8R Yes the actual pinky finger metal switch which will release the throttle axis to go a bit back and switch off the engine.

Hi Colbalt,
I was only aware of the FSSB. How did your hall kit work out.I’ve been waiting for some new gimbals to fit at same time so not as yet fitted but it all looks great stuff thanks. Now with his talk of more affordable force control maybe I will skip the gimbals.
Others here have already pointed you to the 2nd currently available product from viperpits. Both well proven devices. -

Like this…
Well,if you can pull off a few bank heists, you might be able to get one of these

Or this one

well something like this. It could be fixated on the current base no extra large mambo jumbo extensions and HeavyMetal things… the pinky and MilesD magic so when you hold the pinky to release the handle to go further back and perform the idle cut off.
Also when it goes fully back it could press a switch that will be the trigger for the idle cut off and not just the movement of the handle. -
Hey Miles, any news on your decision?

Hey Roccio
I am going to do the force sensing joystick. I should have a assortment of strain gauges here in a week. I am in the middle of getting out an order for industrial adhesion testers that I designed and am the OEM manufacturer for. This may illustrate some of my equipment capabilities if it gives anyone another idea for the future products. -
Impressive, most impressive… A practical product that “sucks”.
Or more accurately, if i get this right, uses gas pressure to pull a piston which sucks to measure stiction.
Pretty cool actually. A bit more pricy than a Warthog and RSSB-3. Yet i see the natural fit for Miles to do a strain gauge based stick base.

I’m in for force sensing and would love an icp.

Any news mate?

Bumping this thread. Always wanted a force sensing SSC but could never justify the costs of the existing options. $150 would be doable for me.
-
A $150 force-sensor mod? Now that’s something I could’ve used earlier!
Do note that they have exceedingly tight tolerances to implement properly and require some really sturdy materials to not fatigue over repeated use, so I’ll be impressed if you can pull off that kind of precision for $150 apiece.
If, however, you make a standalone stick base version that Warthog users can easily switch over to, you’re also going to make a lot of sales coming from the Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous communities alongside the BMS fanbase here. Trust me on that - space sims work great with force-sensing!

Hey Miles,
I love your Hall mods. I’ve been working to source MFD screens for the Thrustmaster MFDs. It should just be a matter of getting square TFTs, a control board, and 3d-printing a case. It’s been a bit of a pain to source though. Touch screen overlays are dirt cheap and easy as well. Figure this would be an easy and worthwhile project if you have interest and time to take over. Thanks for your contributions to the community.

MFD with video or ICP with DED?

I see Miles has a site for selling his sim mods, but it not functional for taking orders yet. I’d like to get a few items there myself.

He has a TQS PCB replacement too, but I’m not sure it’s for the current TQS as it appears to be the plastic F22pro TQS in the pictures. Miles needs to be specific if it works for the metal and latest version of the TQS. It wouldn’t take much to retool it for the metal TQS I would think.
-
You mean the one in the bottom? That’s the old plastic TQS that could connect with the FLCS and F22Pro. I think there was only ever 1 version of the classic TQS.
Unless he’s hiding the key matrix on the bottom, the PCB is largely there to hold the Arduino Pro Micro in place (the little thing in the middle).

I will order the hall mods as soon as its working.
