F-4 Phantom

I am pretty sure the F-15 ramp cants downward for subsonic speed and then straightens up the faster it goes. I would guess that air flow intake is greater for faster speeds to insure compressibility of the air flow doesn’t result in a stall of the engine. It would would also guess the F-4 intake ramp presses to its outward most position in subsonice speeds and as speed increases to supersonic, the ramp depresses. That would be my best guess.
The flight model gurus in BMS should be able to explain the code line better but I suspect it relates to speed of the aircraft, perhaps with two or four animations that get executed at points along the airspeed curve of the aircraft. Not sure which dof that would relate to but perhaps the code reads the dof and relates automatically to some percentage of animation. I would also guess you can edit at least some of those numbers, if you know what they represent, to better match the proper animation and geometry you are looking for.
Empirically, I would also look for some other already developed models in BMS - like the MiG-29 - it has a variable intake geometry. Maybe the F-111. Really any supersonic a/c should have something - expect perhaps the f22 which has some really powerful engines and probably has oversized intakes anyway to avoid and issues with compromising stealth. So, inspecting other FMs you may find differences that will point to some acceptable edits. Really, you might just trying changing the numbers in the FM and see what they do for you - perhaps hitting on something that gives you a desired result.

The tables take two key values, AOA and Mach
The table is arranged like so (it sucks because it has to be on one line)
[AOA Breakpoint count],[AOA BP1],[AOA BP2],[Mach Breakpoint Count],[Mach BP1],[MACH BP2],[DATA AOA1/M1],[DATA AOA2/M1],[DATA AOA1/M2],[DATA AOA2/M2]So you might use it like so:
1,0,2,0,.5,0,11 AOA BP count
0 AOA BP value (doesn’t matter, because there’s only 1)
2 Mach BP count
0 Mach BP value
.5 Mach BP value
0 dof value used at AOA 0’ and 0 Mach
1 dof value used at AOA 0’ and .5 Mach -
Hi Manos,
great model.
Do you know we now have dimmable position lights in BMS 4.33?
You can have a look at the AV-8B…Would be cool if your F-4 can have this also.
Cheers

Hi Manos,
will you also include the AUP (Peace Ikarus 2000) cockpit with the MFCD on the left side of the front cockpit. Two are installed in the rear Cockpit.
Your F4-AUP looks great.Wolfgang (Bazi)

Look i had worked before With Autocad mainly in school (interior designing) and done some 3d work in 3ds for some friend that wanted to make an open space bar in Hungary. Therefore in Falcon modeling no i didnt had a clue i just move as i said trial and error… many saved models and checking and again from the start… Thanks for your good and kind words

He said back on page one he didn’t think he could do it, so I would guess no, you’ll have to find someone else to make a pit for the new model.

Still waiting!!! Hehehe no worries i have lots to do still….

Frankly one of the most exciting things here is the fixed hardpoints for the sidewinder rails. The current one (at least for the Kurnass) doesn’t let you hang ground attack ordnance and take sidewinders.

Looks glorious Manos! Keep up the good work and PM me if and when you have something you’d like to showcase. I have a few subscribers who follow my channel who would love to see a phantom looking Phabulous!
