Such a fitting flight suit for Starfighter pilots…

Such a fitting flight suit for Starfighter pilots…
Hello,
Japan used orange flight suits till early 90s. Some countries, like Japan, Taiwan and Japan, considered orange flight suits. You can still see Taiwanese pilots wearing them, and as far as I remember, Norway still use them. The reason is for safety, if you have to eject in the sea (Taiwan and Japan are oceanic countries), or if you find yourself lost in the mountains of Norway, it’s easier to find you if you are in orange.
Nevertheless, they are not US/NATO standard, they are high quality Japan custom made flightsuits, made of dark green fabric.
Best regards,
Radium

The model and skins are very well done, the Russian Navy use the orange suits while at sea too I think.

Hello!
Some news for tonight :
As you can see, things are going nicely! I enhanced the last parts of the model, and made first licenseplates.
Cheers,

My bad, but I think the joke escaped you:
All I can say is that I wish I was a better modeler - I’m envious of how you can just blaze through something like this… and then it’s still right despite the incredible pacing! Very cool, and a fantastic job.

Airbrakes movement is hard to implement but I notice something good in that position.
Wonderful Job

Thank you for your kind comments,
I am incredibly bad at understand jokes or second degree… I just love Incom T-65 X-Wing, much more than T-70! I had honestly been dreaming a lot piloting the X-wing into the Death Star trench. X-Wing Starfighters are just the most beautiful vessels of all sci-fi in my very humble opinion! Take-off scene from Yavin 4 was incredible… It was really well made, they sucessfully mixed sci-fi with what we knew from Cold War fighter aircrafts including sounds… Incredible movie. This is the reason why “A New Hope” is one of my favorite Star Wars… If You are interested, as you look to be a fan, my Star Wars rating is : VI, IV, Rogue One, III, VII, I, II, V.
Airbrakes movement is hard to implement but I notice something good in that position.
Wonderful Job
Thank you Dema!
I had a hard time to figure out how they worked… Then, I tried to make something convincing and realistic.
I am working on DOFing and Switching. Most is done except gears.
She flies well in BMS. I shall start her unwrapping tomorrow within the 26.

Congratulations to all people the involved in this new project, it looks so amazing that I can’t wait!
Just only a suggestion regarding skinning & license plates: As this aircraft was present in the Balkans Theater, if possible please make an italian air force skin with the right license plates
Best regards -
Awesome project & progress. May I ask, will the usual wingtip fuel tanks be made also?

Just to recall what everyone did :
Radium …… Project owner
Topolo … Flight model
PeCa_Chuck… JASDF consultant
Dema… Texture artist assistantFor licenseplates, well this is complex. I do not say yes, or not, but here is the stuff :
I do not want to get many different models, for some reasons. Physically, licenseplates are polygons, that use an alpha channel. I already expected to make Taiwan F-104DJ. If I can make more for the two seater, I will do. But I have to organize everything well in my brain : it’s not complex, but it can become a nightmare, as this will implies some crossed kinetics. Stay tuned, I’ll do my best. If I do not make it for F-104DJ, I will do it for F-104S-ASA/M, F-104J.
Awesome project & progress. May I ask, will the usual wingtip fuel tanks be made also?
Yes, of course, but they shall be treated as payload. So, I keep them appart of the draft LOD.
Best regards,
Radium

here an example for LP on italian asa.m, common for every squadrons on front fusolage and M.M. numbers on bottom back fusolage, except the 53° Sq Cameri Airbase, only camo version, with “second” numbers on tail (53-11 fuso, 11 tail)
