Sustained G Breathing Mod

@Red:
yep we know that. But in BMS it is VERY different
Since there is no backseater or crew chief to talk to, it has different purposesSo if sticking with realism it shouldn’t do anything…
-
To extend it in my way…
If we got stick to that much realism we shouldn’t have sims.Sent from TapaTalk

Thank you Fox3TwoShip. And what about warning/caution tones and betty messages? Is there any way to set their volume?

Nope, they are fixed, per the 1F-16CM-1:
@1F-16CM-1:
Monitoring of fixed volume warning tones (LG and low speed warning tone, TWS missile launch tone, and IFF mode 4 audio monitor) and voice messages.
There is a switch aft of the stick that allows you to INHIBIT these tones; however, it’s always safety-wired in VOICE MESSAGE.

Ok thank you! I always miss-read it then because I’ve never understood it like this.

Congrats on your 10,000th post BTW. But nope, they’re so important that I don’t want to have the option to turn them down. Maybe years ago in the M3 it functioned like that but I can’t say (I doubt it). But I know for a fact in M6.2 this is how it works.

… because of this:
"INTERCOM Knob
The INTERCOM knob has a cw arrow pointing to INC. Rotating the knob increases the volume of the signals available to the intercom set.
The intercom provides the following functions:
- Monitoring and volume control of voice communication between pilot and ground crew or between pilot and tanker boom operator, monitoring and volume control of AIM9 missile tone, TWS composite audio tone, and TWS missile launch tone.
- Monitoring of systems individually volume controlled from the audio control panels.
- Monitoring of fixed volume warning tones (LG and low speed warning tone, TWS missile launch tone, and IFF mode 4 audio monitor) and voice messages."
… I’ve probably never paid attention to “Monitoring of fixed volume warning tones”
Thank you again Fox3TwoShip!
Edit: thank you for the 10000 post lol …

Yah the -1 is a bit confusing and the 1-F16CM-34-1-1 doesn’t even talk about from what I could CTRL+F. But the way it’s written in the -1 it’s referring to the intercom as a whole system. If you look at the other bullets you’ll notice it makes mention of ‘volume control’. These are the components of the intercom system that are variable.

Back on this topic Fox3TwoShip …
So, what you be (according to your knowledge) the correct implementation in game?
Currently (in game and according to the real -1) , the INTERCOM is a sort for master volume for all headset device (reducing the INTERCOM will reduce the MSL, THREAT, BETTY, TONES, RADIOS … and of course breathing returns as well)
If I understand correctly, you are suggesting that the INTERCOM knob should ONLY act on the breathing mask volume, and all other knob (MSL, THEAT, RADIO) are independent and BETTY should be fixed volume (no way to change the volume) ?
Could you confirm ?
-
As long as we can set it from 2D.
-
Looking forward to trying these out…. I think they sound great!

Correct. That’s exactly how it works. In terms of Betty being fixed, I couldn’t tell you how many decibels it is, but it will get your attention. When I last flew BMS (awhile ago), this is not how it worked.

Thank you!
Not sure we will change the current behavior, at least maybe not yet … but now we know …
