Remove the radio menu?
-
I picked up a copy of Voice Attack for use in BMS and it is great for immersion but the radio menu popping up every command kinda ruins it. IS there a way to turn the on and off easily? I do not see a key command for it.

You could edit the txt for it so it shows up off the screen?
-
I wouldn’t even know where to begin to do that?

Good idea

It only pops up for half-a-second or so and I like it as I take it as a confirmation of my voice command going through successfully.

Ice +1

Isn’t there a parameter to set for how long the menu persists? I’m thinking that you may not be able to set it to zero in the GUI, but that maybe you can by manually editing a file?
Very interested, because I’m going to to be wanting to do the same once I have my cockpit fully setup.

Edit the menu box co-ordinates, so that it appears in a corner of the screen?

Good idea
Yep. However, having tested by using 10ms inputs with VAC, my conclusion is that it is good to have a confimation that the soft have detected the command. So having nothng at all is painful.
-
An option to remove it would still be useful, though, even for non-VAC users. E.g. When you’re recording, it could ruin a nice shot, or break immersion somewhat.
Maybe link it with the PrettyScreenshot, which can already hide the info bar and “subtitles”?

I think I have seen an Youtuber send voice commands to his wingman without the menu poping up. I just can’t find the video now…
So I think it’s possible… sorry for not being able to actually help.

Found it:
comms start at 03:23
However, if you read the comments section below, you’ll see that he’s not sure if he actually disabled it or if they were popping up on the secondary monitors which aren’t recorded. He’s also not sure which command he used to disable it: ALT or LEFT SHIFT + F3.

Euhh, isn’t the “display radio subtitles” option on the simulation page doing this?
From the manual :
Display Radio Subtitles
By activating this feature it is possible to display the radio messages heard in the falcon universe. This
feature is selectable in the configuration screen; however it can be momentarily toggled by pressing
the ‘ToggleSubTitles’ key callback. In the standard configuration a message will be displayed for 10
seconds and up to 10 messages will be displayed at the same time. As more messages are displayed,
the more recent ones are added at the bottom of the display and move their way up as the older
messages are removed. -

That’s for radio subtitles not radio menu
Two different things

Let’s not be that guy that responds to “I want this thing” with the suggestion “Have you tried not wanting that thing?”
-
I only point out how it could be useful.

Aah, now it makes sense [emoji1], clearly didn’t read the OP question correct [emoji15].

Thanks for all the interest!. I did indeed mean the radio menu. I figured since there was an option to disable subtitles and player pilot voice that there would be one for the radio menu. Might make a good wish list feature

It looks as if that was accomplished in the video…but we have yet to hear how it was accomplished!
