P-3B/C Orion

Looking good !
-
Awesome!!! We could definitely do with a proper P-3C even in the original Korea theater! It’s such a beautiful plane, certainly compared to the P-8.
( The Kawasaki P-1 is still my fav patrol aircraft, it’s like an Orion with jet engines!)
-
A beautifull piece: We sold them to Portugal and Germany:
Skin sugestion???

Unfortunatelly once again im facing the difficulty of lowering the triangle number (therefore thanks Arty for your suggestion contact me again in PM with an email and ill get back to you you know why). Polycount is ok but triangle no… Nurse ill see what i can do. This is an edited C actually to B. Greek B’s doesnt have the “holes” in their back belly part for the sonar thingies (sorry i cant remember the eact word ) And i dont know if they have the IR camera on the nose (i think its an IR). Definatelly i can make an Australian,Japanese,USN -C its a matter of changing the part i mentioned but we gonna be high on tris again. I can have an ~31K model but in some parts its a bit ugly. I dont loose in detail but i loose parts of the smoothness. But i gues even this way its better than nothing Nothing is 100% Ready im still having experiments with it and maybe ill come up with something.
-
 m8 u r telling me one by one… hmmm smoothness let’s see what I have in my magic back pack for u… PM incoming… check six.
BUT will raise the tris… so it will be a balance thing… cut from one area add to other.
-
Never mind the smooth part i fixed it just the other u told me
By the way Poly count ~30k Tris count ~54k -
Bravo Manos!

Yes it is still alive. For now no release yet… But soon it will be finished. I have to do research for Portuguese skin and for the type Portugal uses

Very nice model art. I like!!! Cheers

Very cool. One error though. The outboard wing stations can’t hang harpoons or mavericks. They are too heavy. The max weight on those pylons is around 600 lbs
-
I’ve found many pics with Harpoons on the middle; pylons, and indeed non in the outer;
Our model has all 3 in each outer side, but if I am correct as in the below pics they don’t even load these 2 outer pylons you are referring?
Comment from the last pic: “Crewmen loading an AGM-84D Harpoon on the outer ordnance shackles of a P-3 Orion.” So I suppose they mean not the real outers, but the installed outers (which are the middle in out model; )
-

-
Every airplane get configure different. The outboard most pylons are not always mounted. but there can be 18 racks total. 1 thru 8 in the bomb bay depending on how its setup, and then 9 thru 18 on the wings.
-
You don’t see many images of P-3Cs with the outboard pylons mounted (so with all 3 on the wing end).
I’ve only seen P-3B/Cs with a max of two outboard pylons mounted. However, when looking at images of Harpoon carrying P-3Cs, I can’t really tell if they are using STA 17 or STA 16? Certainly doesn’t seem to be STA 18.
-
Ok good to know, I’ll fix the loadouts accordingly when its time.
