Ff you could have one thing in the next update it would be…

Funny enough, my current Rolling Fire campaign saw China joining quite late (Day 5) after Russia had already joined on Day 3. On Day 6 I’m fighting off MiG-31s, SU-30s, Su-27s and J-11s coming from the North West, North East and North…. So on Day 6 I’d say that the excitement level surely has gone up!

That’s interesting! I haven’t experienced that yet…

To add to this megathread,
I would ask the devs for one single important thing. To create and include some YouTube videos, on HOTAS support for all the mainstream models. Just link these videos to the next update of the sim, so that new players won’t have to go on all this hustle that we did, when trying to figure out how to enable shift buttons or sliders on our HOTAS (maybe except the Cougar). Written documentation is good, but a video just settles it.
I would also like to see some better ‘graphics’ on how the horison looks. Look at a real horizon, it doesn’t realy look like it does in real life as it does in BMS, so that would do for a great rework. And finaly, I would dare to ask for some important (realtime) in-game hints (that you can dissable if you like) so that new players wont be so lost in their first time with the sim.

That is a great idea, however, there are MANY different HOTAS set ups and configurations out there. Also, it is not BMS per say, rather the HOTAS set up with your computer that can also be different. You would be looking at a dozen videos for setting up all the different HOTAS configurations (and just basic set ups at that). I have a G940. I use a lot of HOTAS (Logitech) configured/programed buttons that input into the BMS keystroke files. That has nothing to do with BMS. So the same could be said about every other HOTAS out there. No 1 video could cover all of that.

HA!! The cowboy voice from instant action… “Hey little buddy, won’t ya engage dat dare nose wheel steering”, “Hey there buckaroo, it’s time to switch yer laser from training to combat”
-
“Howdy partner, your air source knobs in noob mode”
“there a snake in my boot, also you got yer throttle forward, thats why the jfs won’t start.”

haha! yea!
But sure, I think that just text hints would be a great deal of help for anyone playing not just BMS but any kind of simulator…
And tbh, thats what I always missed from sim games… Hints could help someone so much on his learning process. (This is not to replace your study of the sim, but actually a key to embrace it)
And to add to what jhook is saying… Yes I see that it is extremely difficult and time consuming to create every tutorial for every HOTAS there is, but at least there should be a video tutorial on how the “BMS Key File Editor” functions on C:\Falcon BMS 4.33\Docs\Key Files & Input.
I used that amazing feature to fix my x52 and export a complete key file customized by me with a functional shift button. In less than 30 minutes… And the program itself is not just for the x52 but for a lot (if not all) generic HOTAS out there, so maybe that will not only help x52 guys, but pretty much anyone? … Hopefully I found a youtube video explaining how the program works, (and then I found that there is a pdf that explains it inside BMS, but its 55 pages, that I believe that it can be compressed to a quick tutorial of less than 20 minutes). And the point is that it is very easy once you get the hang of it… The video that I saw was not longer than 20 minutes - so there could be just one video from the devs explaining how the “BMS Key File Editor” excel file works properly appart from the pdf that holds the entire documentation for anyone wanting to read it…

Why not make the video while it’s fresh in your mind and you’ve got a good idea what you would have liked to have seen? You don’t have to be part of the development group to create something that’ll help others.

This is not BMS Dev duties … this is your (community) duties.

Horizon is perfectly realistic. It just depends on moisture in air.
There are already discussions about it on the forum … I suggest to use the search button, you should be able to retrieve the threads.

…man, those are NICE shots, Dee-Jay!

*Not recognizing non-primary POV switches
*Radar antenna up/down callback does not work continuously while holdingAre there any chance of these to be updated so no need for a non-COUGAR user to fight against TARGET(or any other driver) scripting?

When you tell your wifey to turn the air on and she turns the heat on and you wake up at 3am and think the devil is sitting on your face.

I just write things down on paper and use a clipboard. We are in a simulation, inside a simulation, inside a simulation, lol.
