My stalled F/A - 18
-
I appreciate your input. I did not realize that our F/A-18 is a reskinned F-16. I have never been afraid of putting my F-16 in a stall while yanking and banking in ACM. I’m petrified of trying ACM in my F/A-18 at altitude.
F-18 has it’s own flight model. Read Mav-jp’s comments on the topic in other threads.

OK, So I let go of the stick doing ACM with a Mig-29. Regained control of my beautiful jet. Mig shot me down during my recovery.

Lol of course he did, you stall out in front of any enemy A/C and hes going to smoke you. Its like ringing a big fat dinner bell.

Not only it has its own flight model but it has its own FLCS as well
And this will be improved in 3 to 4 weeks

Looking forward to it, plus any other improvements the DevGru has planned.

Really … oh man, can’t wait for this. You guys are just awesome. Why, for heaven’s sake, waiting for an upcoming DCS F/A-18C module, if our BMS developer maybe will do a better job :blowpar:.
I really like Falcon’s FA-18C and you can truly “feel” the differences in flight dynamics compared to the F-16.
…'m pretty sure that the developer of Falcon’s Hornet was inspired by this article: http://www.72ndvfw.org/forum/m/5688083/viewthread/20557312-f16-vs-f18-from-pilot-who-drives-both
Have a lot of joy guys,
Cheers to all -

I stand corrected …

Tom, another bit of YouTube goodness you might enjoy:

Nice flight test…surprises me more people don’t do things like this.

Of course I know it, but flight simming always had to be a way of comprosmises too; Avionics is one thing and 'm pretty shure that BMS never will change the F-16 core code in that way - likely it will stay a F-16 sim preferentially.
My annotation was just meant to be as a compliment for BMS Developer efforts trying to mimic F/A-18C flight dynamics despite its limitations.
Cheers to all

and please bear in mind 3 to 4 weeks could be 3 to 4 years

LoL, who knows…?!..or maybe 3 to 4 decades

What limitations ?
We have absolutely no limitations
It is amazing how a urban legend can last !!!
The physics model in BMS is 100% new since BMS 4.32 and allows to simulate any airplane
F18 has its own FLCS

…coming in 3-4 weeks.
