Yogi, F-16’s, with the exception of the work by Jan Has which was showcased a bit, were specifically not used. Sorry. The vision for Nordic was to create something with a bit different flavor for folks. There are a lot of theaters that place more emphasis on the F-16 and those are better places to fly. Naturally, if you want to fly that specific a/c I suspect that it would take only a few minutes to fix something up for yourself if you want to build a nice TE.
V-3 could perhaps include some other countries but that is a campaign/TE process so I would contact Starrats or one of the TE makers, if you can’t do something for yourself. Really, taking a stab at it might prove surprisingly easy and rewarding.

And I am working on one of those ideas. I think the key is to rework the acdata such that lift is so prolific that it mimics going up the ramp, just need some tweaking, that is the best we can do for now.
Somethings what seems so simple to conceive is much more difficult to achieve, and it has to wait its turn in the queue of the codermasters. The BMS code for jumpjets is already pretty amazing considering where we were before some really industrious folks decided to move it forward. There are quire a few jump jets available now if you have the right controllers and know what you are doing. I would like to see all the major British Harriers up and flying with some low poly/decent skins in a theater. ccc has made a lot of material available to work with that will produce some very fine visuals if given a little time and effort.

Adding an F-16 squadron/changing aircraft type of an existing squadron to/in the campaign is really easy with Mission Commander.

You mean the NATO as a faction? This is going to happen, I just don’t know which current faction will get axed yet. I don’t want to cut the local countries factions, and USA is a faction to stay in as well. This is why I was thinking team7 could be NATO and cover the rest of the friendly forces like England, Italy, Germany, etc. right now team7 is Germany only.

For historical correctness’ sake, perhaps it would be fair to maintain NATO team only, thus including in their USA ground, navy and air forces… but your compromise solution might be fair the same.

you are right Gianni, in campaigns we should change all Nato forces to one team. we just don’t have a Nato team or flag in v2.1. i deleted it for a local country. V3 will have Nato in campaigns and TE_New may be a little different as well. cheers Ned

Soviet or Russian part of Nordic map has no objectives. Most town names in Nordic map are also just made up names. Someone volunteered to fix this, but No news from there lately. It is in the v3 to do pile. I need to update that post, just busy with other stuff right now.

Im all for the V3! Lets try to make things historically correct though. I noticed that in the cold war theater, when you fly a mission in 1979 there are AMRAAMs present which isnt correct. AMRAAMS entered service in 1991. Plus there is a couple of other historically incorrect features as well I notice but the “120s in the 70s” was a big one for me.

Also Ive been having issues connect to Tower Freqs. Every other theater I have no problems connecting to tower except for Nordic…

Frits and Molni are both helping to make the Cold War theater more 1984 as far as jets and load outs for sure. And there will be focus on ground units as well. The tower freqs are all good. Done by the Nav expert Nikos. Check the docs. I think this prob is one of two things. One : there are some towers that have no uhf. Based on reality from Nikos. Two: sometimes when making TE the flights were made as one team and the squadron is set as another. This can be avoided if close attention is payed during TE construction. Just make sure your flag matches your airbase color and this won’t happen.
Number two might not really effect tower , but it will pork awacs.
The terrain could use a few rivers, I don’t want the swamp it came with, but rivers and bridges in a few realistic places.

And more on tower for Dankster. If you set your freqs with data cartrige option, go to channel 1, select vhf, select tower, green in the box. Save.
Then go to channel 6 , set to uhf, select tower, and green in the box. Save.
If there is no uhf freq for that tower, then we just will use vhf.
Also the DOCs folder has detailed nav info for each airbase. I never set the radio freqs in the plane, I only know it can be done. This could be another way to set up freqs , but I can’t advise.
