YAME64 suite

It will work till Windows updates you again…… I’ve done everything I can think of to turn it off even in registry. It will reboot, BSOD then reboot again with Windows update turned back on… Do I own this software or not? TOTAL BS.
Sorry, ranting. -
Hi Wicked,
I was able to disable Windows updates in WIN10 by going into “Services”, then to “Windows Updates” which you can disable in the menu. Nothing has been installing automatically on my system since then, and YAME works great.
-
I did the same thing but it blue screened and changed the setting after a reboot. But! I will try again.
-
No Joy! The service is turned off and has been. I uninstalled all the recent updates (it would let me) and rebooted. I went back to the updates page to try and get the last one and as I was watching it the updates previously uninstalled popped back up as installed again….
-
that s strange. i have Windows 10 1079 and latest Nvidia driver and no issue for me. if you open the process Explorer (ctrl alt del) what it says about yame cpu and gpu usage?
-
Yeah, this issue seems to be hit and miss… not everyone is affected.
-
Greetings. Would like to thank everyone involved for this great piece of software.
Have been a long time user of the MFDE tool in conjunction with the BMS display extractor. I’ve started to use YAME also for MFD extraction and it works great. Perfect alternative to the BMS extractor tool.
Again, a great big thanks.
Kind regards. J. -
Around 40% on CPU usage when it is running. The mouse lags and basically everything lags… Hate windows.
-
Still working on it
Just a little teaser. This is how my current setup looks like (27" second monitor) with a window background. Hint, not all of it is a background image, but some parts are YAME and clickable (and thus touchable with touchscreen)
Hello again.
Dont know if this has been asked before.
I was going through some of the posts in this thread and came up with this one.
The cockpit background is so cool. Unfortunately, I dont have much expirience in photo editing so my
question is if it would be possible in a future release to have an F16 cockpit background where you can place your guages on top?
Thanks so much for sharing YAME.
Kind regards.

I cannot get any extraction. I am running a networked PC to show MFD’s and RWR. Network is open, Firewall off, etc. I have the server running on my main machine where BMS is running and the client running on my networked machine. Myself and Badger worked on this for hours. Everything is set up as it should be. RTTExtraction on 0 (tried it on 1 too). Using Yame to start up BMS. I am stumped. Here are my logs.

@Jaycee & LAB93 I’ll post the image I use asap, it’s nothing special, you still need to overlay everything with the necessary gauges & indicators of course. I can also make a screenshot of my image when Yame client is running so it has everything on it so you can use it as a placeholder for where to add the gauges & indicators. This is just for my screen of course. You could also check -Ice or some else Helios setup. That also features some sort of cockpit image you could use.
@Mailman
I don’t know the technical issues, that would be more of Roccio’s expertise, but I do find it strange there timestamps seem out of sync somehow?
For example your server log says:
03/02/2018 11:37:18: New TEXTURE client connected
But the client log says:
03/02/2018 11:27:25: Texture connecting to server.
03/02/2018 11:36:33: Texture data extraction stop.So the client connected at minute 27 and stopped the connection at minute 36 while the server only has a connection after that (minute 37)?
-
Thanks so much Focaldesign. I’ve realized that YAME allows you to have any background image you want.
I got TM MFDs placed on top of an old 19 inch monitor and my background cockpit image size needs to be in ratio with MFDs.
So I decided to give myself a “crashcourse” in basic photo editing (copy/paste and other basic stuff), downloaded an F16 Front console image and began some messing about.Again, thanks so much for your kind offer.
Regards. J. -

Great… Thank you very much… i use 27" like you. the example of a 1920x1080 YAME window with a custom background. from YAME manuel (page 76) look fantistic…

I didn’t run it very long. As soon as I knew it wasn’t working, I exited BMS and stopped both the client and server looks like at 11:38:45. Not sure what’s going on before that. I may try leaving it running a little longer and post the new logs. And after looking more closely at what you pointed out, it looks like a possible client issue? Could it have anything to do with Video Driver?

Try it the other way round? i.e server on the networked machine and BMS machine as client and make sure to select get data from network on the networked machine.

From what I see you have only textured gauges (like mfd or ded) and no flight instruments. Try to add a little flight gauge (like an ADI) and post yor results. -

This is the background image I use:
Then when I add YAME gauges it looks a bit like this:

I don’t have BMS installed on my networked machine. How will the server get info if there is no install?
