Hi there!
FYI:
Third square and the “Great Court”:
Now the runways…
(and then, all objects new adjusting, new lights…)
BTW Lights: I will try to make real taxi lights…Oh, current files size is 202 MB, but also 19 files…
Still all textures fit together, except two lines, maybe two, three pixels besides …So, on to the runways.
Ah, and thanks to you all for your Thanks, gives power for the way.
Ok, best regards

@Nuno:
That’s one hell of a job, Earlybite!
Congratulations, looking beautiful.
Make’s me want to remake all of the airbase designs we did for POH so farReady for action!!! Let’s do it.

Hi!
FYI:
New runways
Tire tracks (Google translation for Reifenspuren) are self made.
First for the important places…DDS-files: 37 (all 4096^2 and smaller), 27 for taxiway and runways
Files size, complete: 308 MB (from previous ~ 450 MB)
Until two, three little places, and small differences, all textures fit together and “thank god” not at important places.
Only the adjusting with the F4-BMS Editor is a little tricky…, maybe the placement ability will get finer in future.Ok.
Osan Airbase:
(compare to the pic in #1)
Still much to do. Lights, buildings etc. adjusting…a.s.o…
Best regards

Results are good. Congratulation Earlybite.

Hi!
FYI:
New runways
Earlybite
First of all, Well done! Beautiful work there mate.
Now if you want a small remark, the white stripes at RWY threshold are wrong. They are 13.
According to the below real table:you should have 12 stripes there, because in real life Osan airbase has 151 FT (46 M) width of its RWY.
If you delete the one stripe in the middle, you will be fine ;).

Hi!
FYI:
Taxiway->Check
Runways->Check
Buildings->Check
AI Taxxing->Check
Lights->ToDoI’ve reworked all buildings, incl. hangars. And these are many…(~80)
Made new walls…
Made some hangars for the first square…
Tri’s for all buildings (incl. hangars, walls): ~18.000I’ve made a TE with 20 a/c on the ground (spawn delay 20 min.), ramp start, 10 a/c in the air, landing:
I have in a HAS 38 FPS with 20% clouds, with inclement weather I have 32 FPS in a HAS (c sig)Now I would like to make “real” taxi lights, but there are many of it, amybe 100, maybe 150! If I would only have e.g. minimal 40, 50 tri’s, it could get additional ~ +5000 tri’s. Comments are welcome…
Best regards

Hi!
FYI:
These are now 520 taxi lights…
I didn’t know, that it will be that much.
First I made a model with only 26 tri’s, and the taxiway than had over 14.000 tri’s<shocking>…
These ones have only 10 tri’s and a simple texture. (And I hope that these taxi lights are not too high.)
I’m still at 38 FPS with 20 a/c ramp start and 10 in the air, landing (day / fair / 20% clouds)…, and with inclement still at 32 FPS.
The runway lights are “greater” than the taxiway lights, maybe is the difference from the length of the line…, I think I will rework it.BTW: If possible, please, dear devs, let us see something in the cockpit at ramp start at night (in a HAS) and not only by tweaking the Ambient in the bms config file…, something other and better. In any case, with Ambient 0.1, I have only black, pure black.
Next step: Upload.

Hi,
I’ve made a download!
So, if you want it, you can have it…
http://www.individcore.de/Earlybite/BMS/OsanAirbase-DL.htmlBTW:
I’ve reworked the taxi light model a little, a little slimmer.
Now also runways have that “taxi light”, which are runway lights there.AI taxxing is with rooting. It works. Only to inform…
Enjoy, have fun, feel Osan Airbase.
Best regards
Earlybite -
Hi!
I’ve made a new objective with non rooting for AI taxxing.
With rooting it can happen, that an a/c that has a take off after you, taxi before you, and in that case it will stand in front of its root point waiting you will have past.
And great a/c’s, for ‘Large ParkingPoint’, are travelling, under circumstances, along the whole taxi points…It can happen, if you e.g. change an existing TE and place flights before yours.
You can download the new objective here:
http://www.individcore.de/Downloads/Osan/Osan-Objective-1-3-Non-Root.zipTo enable that objective, open the Editor, select ‘Clear all’, and import than that new one. Ready.
Best regards

680MB, that a joke?
If you used the 3DDB builder in sticky, it could be like 10-20MB…

I do not know, what/who you are, but, no, it isn’t….
BTW: Sir, are you flaming?! If so, let’s meet a little!Earlybite
-
Why would I be flaming? I just wonder how people who already modded their install can do with that…
They would need to add the provided LODs themselves, add new features (CT and FCD), modify your export file to replace CT references in there with the ones they would use. Not really user friendly, my opinion. I could do that in 5 minutes, not everyone can…
We could meet but I don’t want to and German beers taste like shit, so I’ll pass the invitation.

I have no beer for you. And that wasn’t an invitation… You know exactly what exactly it is…, but you are not man enough! So hurry up, back into your cave, “man”. And stay away from my threads.

What Switch is suggesting is to provide the mod as something that anybody can use without loosing there already installed mods. (Switch might be “strange” for the ppl who don’t know him and dosen’t know that he is a very sympathetic person despite appearances, … but honestly … not this time. I do not understand why you are so aggressive ?! Seriously, you are literally threatening him!? (like you were also with me in the past while I was kindly suggesting you to avoid using old 4.32 texture set on your 4.33 because of potential incompatibilities issues with road path/links …) Not cool. Wonder why almost nobody from the Dev team is providing help and information here.
-
To be fair, Switch wasn’t really providing help, he was just being aggressive with a “I know it all and you don’t attitude”
And if that’s the way Dev aim to provide help here, it’s a good way we don’t see more of it honestlyDev should show example, Clearly it wasn’t here as never with Switch
That attitude is actually reducing your audience and your inside team as well by the way.
Maybe something to think about for the future
