Ff you could have one thing in the next update it would be…

I should imagine this has been asked for before,
is there anyway for the next version to include making the campaign ending clearer with perhaps a short video or message similar to the promotions tab that pops up of bunting & celebrations for a win & maybe something for the stalemate or loss?
in the log book which side is the campaign win, left or right?
+1
Many threads in this forum resulting that the campaign was finished but the user was left waiting.

None of the victory or intro movies play for me win 10 x64 current and I searched the threads and the forum and did the whole ffdshow thing, did not help.
anytime a video is cued to play, I see the border of the mpeg player for like .01 seconds and it closes, time stops in the camp, and you get the victory medal or the loss correctly. hope that helps.

A few posts back (#2091) I suggested a good update would include HUD Only display with TrackIR and/or other head tracking devices. You guys pointed me to the empty cockpit shell and I’ve been using it ever since. Thanks again. It gives that extra sense of immersion with my modest pit. However, if the HUD frame and the AOA and NWS Indexers could be statically fixed to the front of the empty shell (replacing those four fins) - of course keeping the HUD projection centered as it is now - that would be cool. Just a follow-on thought.

The 99 year lease reminds me of GTMO and the Panama Canal Zone.

You need to add the codec to both the F4 directory and system32 IIRC.

so shines a good deed in a weary world.

Operational rooting for AI taxxing!
Normally it works for take off, except a flight after yours is taxxing before you, it would stand in front of you next to the rooting point, waiting that you have passed.
And a/c’s for 'Large parking point, are, under circumstances, travelling along all taxi points, even if their parking points are the first ones in the cue.Fully operational rooting for AI taxxing would, IMHO, improve the whole ramp start scenery, let you exploit the possibilities given of an air base.
Best regards

Forgive me if these things have been mentioned, I only pop onto the forums a few times per year, but I would love to see:
-Different wind speeds at altitude. Wind should be stronger at angels 30 than on the deck. Give me a reason to use the drift function on the hud and take wind into consideration during BVR.
-Human controlled AG weapons affected by wind. Leave AI weapons alone so they hit their targets.
-Improved ship defenses that can shoot down in-bound anti-ship missiles.
Most of all I want improved performance. It’s very difficult to get a smooth 60 FPS on 4K even with graphics set to low in most categories. Flying over an urban area in Ostsee and I’m lucky to get 15 FPS.

It’s never gonna get any better in Ostsee/Baltic. There are over 17500 object(ives) in the te_new and campaign files.
As compared to stock Korea which has a mere 2693!!

True but even in Korea my FPS dips into the 50s if I’m near a naval group. Just a few low poly non textured boats cause frame drop when they’re moving around. FPS dips around Kunsan too if I’m carrying a mixed loadout. And it drops regardless of what’s around when TGP and/or 65s are uncaged, especially in combination with particle effect condensation and vortices in a turn. FPS in the 50s sounds OK, and it is not bad if you’re playing a game with a fixed view point, but it’s not so good when combined with track IR where stutter and hitching become so noticeable just from panning the view around.
There has to be a way to better optimize the performance. I don’t think BMS can stay relevant if something isn’t improved in this regard. The competition can fully model Dubai while we struggle with boats and square buildings.

Well, Falcon has survived the test of time now for 20 years.
Not to mention it has more users than any game in the genre!! Well, really there is nothing else that compares to Falcon, with a dynamic campaign, so it’s basically in a category all by itself!!

So because Falcon has a dynamic campaign you don’t think it needs to improve optimization? Interesting.

That’s not what I said. I brought up the dynamic campaign to distinguish it from the rest, which don’t have one.
Anything coded will always have room for improvement/optimization. I stated although it’s not optimal it has stood the test of time!!
How could you misinterpret what I said?? It’s quite clear!

To express it in this way is to downplay the degree of necessity for an optimization improvement. While your statement is technically true, would you not agree that BMS has a particularily strong need for improvement in this area relative to other software? Seems to me it would be easier to agree with me instead of saying, “it’s just Ostsee” or “BMS is fine because the dynamic campaign will keep it in a category of its own forever.” Replies like these come across as dismissive. I’m not misinterpreting you, I’m trying to make a point about your replies.

Vsync ON or OFF ? … in game or in nVidia control panel? …
I suggest you to play and dig around your nVidia (or whatever) settings because even with my old E8600 dual core , around 20 - 40FPS, I never had stutters. And now, with wy new rig, I think I have to force the Vsync “On” or “Adaptive” or “Fast” to avoid that kind of stutters which seem to me unrelated with FPS by themselves.

Not surprising. (unless (?) all the bug and insane amount of objectives has bee fixed / reduced, LODs properly implemented and poly-count for some objects back to a “normal” level… and not too much textures)
