TrackIR 4/5 BMS Profile by Yassy

Before getting new TIR hardware, consider the alternatives like the DelanClip, Opentrack, Edtracker & friends. It’ll save you a lot of money while at the same time enjoying better quality (it’s not often in life that you can make those choices :D)
All the best, Uwe

Hi Viper!
As long as you run v5 of the software the profile will load. The sensitivity of the TIR3 is quite different than that of the newer models however so there is no guarantee that the curves in the profile will give the same output quality.
I would strongly suggest to upgrade to the TIR5. In my experience the viewpoint stability is much better.
Good lick!

Hey Uwe,
Indeed an option.
I have no experience with the other solutions, but I don’t find the price of the TIR5 that high, considering the stability it gives. If you look around you can get a new unit for the price of 2 games.
One thing I did do was go for a custom clip with high-angle IR leds on battery power to increase gain and remove extra cables. -

Yessy, as you wrote above I allso prefer a custom clip with leds. Where can I got those clip and can you plese post a pic?
ViperHi, thanks again for your replys.

Jessy your profile works perfect with Track IR 3 and the newest software. The hardware is over 14 years old, no more words to say…!
-
Thanks YASSY,
good profile works so well i,m still in training and i tried this on the harm TE and managed to avoid all SAMS and get hits whilst keeping good SA something i struggled with before your profile. note to DEVs can this be put into the main package? it would definitely save much searching …

Oh my, this profile, and Arty’s for that matter work flawlessly except for one area for me and that is viewing my left console for the most part. I don’t have much issue with seeing any part of the right console, even back to right rear, how best to adjust to fix seeing the left console in it’s entirety?

Thank you for the profile Yassy
Followed your instructions and am using it with the TIR5 & trackclippro.
Better than any profile I had come up with so far.
Amazing! Thanks!
-
Works great, thanks!
-
@Yassy
Thank You Yassy for all you have done with this profile.
I just started using the TR5, and your profile is much better than the Smoothen profile that comes with the software.
Huffer out -
Thanks. I’ll try your profile.

Hi guys,
Poking my head in here after a looong time.
Delighted to see my profile still being appreciated by the current BMS community! If you experience any problems with the file, please do not hesitate to contact me.I’ve been away from BMS for some time, but now that VR is here I can;t wait to fire up this old sexy cougar again. Things have been busy on my end; got my promotion to Captain in december, so finally flying from the left hand seat. Great way to start the new year!
Now that things are starting to settle down I am hoping to get more sim time again.
Happy landings and best wishes for 2023 to all of you!

@Yassy Thank you for your original contribution. I began using it when I came to BMS in 2016 after being gone for too long. It was a great starting point for me to then “modify” it a bit for personnel preferences. Thanks again, you were a “life saver” back then.
-
@Quasi_Stellar thanks for the warm words! You are most welcome.

@Yassy
I second what @Quasi_Stellar said above. I futzed around with TrackIR for ages trying to get a good, smooth F4 TIR profile. Yours is absolutely spot on and I have multiple backups of it saved in numerous secure vault locations around the globe
Thanks for your work.
