seriously, i think BMS team has more new models in upcoming update. If possible, please post a more complete list…the list in “modelling organization” thread is shorter than expected. Of course, if operating underground is the style, please let modders have a playground, like a seperate korea theater and all its file folders.
Think again. The first patch will more than likely be just a patch. Not an update. There are CTD’s and other code related issues to fix before a bunch of models get added. No one is operating underground, it is more a mentality of quality over quantity. Quality takes time so don’t hold your breath on a whack of half ass models being added just for the sake of saying look at all the new models. FF is very much alive which renders your model pack unusable from a BMS standpoint. In order to remove any FF finger prints there would need to be some serious work done. The time would be better spent creating newer high poly versions that are organized properly. The F18 in this thread and the cockpit as well have only been tested by a few guys who are working on it. It has not been beta tested at all within the entire BMS structure so again……its going to be a while.

Wow Dee-Jay, so you have been able to put your hands on the real F-18 aerodynamic database!!! I keep wondering if u have acces to classified infos and you are going to have troubles with CIA (i’m kidding).

For sure F-16 and F-18 FLCS have to be based on the same logic, but the limiters should be different. Great work, F18 looks incredible BUT…
That pit needs legs… Harpoons legs in the F16 pit takes it up a level.

Just saw the start up sequence, and knowing it will take a while before this will be available, if ever, i wonder if the sim allows you to have diferent internal sounds for diferent aircraft? Since all the sound of the video are the same of the F16, decreasing the level of immersion of such a great cockpit. IMO it plays agains the great work of the cockpit, but probably its a compromise that we will have to live with.

You can actually switch your F16 sounds to the Mirage 2000 dedicated sounds in the Config editor.
So it wouldn’t be a surprise if they add an option to switch to F18’s sound. -
Vipers…Hornets…everyone can paint a target with radar and fire at it.

In the interest of being a little more public I’ll post this video of very early sound work. Unique F18 sounds are being developed, and I’d be interested in original bitchin betty sounds from the bug if anyone has them. They must be your own original sounds and not copies of VRS or some such
Please remember this entire project is very much a work in progess
