I don't know when they let N.Korea have Patriot Missles.

I was wondering why I was always getting hosed till I turned on labels, seems they are backing sam sites , they also defeat the jsow,

Maybe your IFF is badly set

Well as you all know I’m a 32er and that’s part of the problem, I’m flying in the Korea80s theater, I just started using labels to see what that’s about, I started to see patriot labels well north of the DMZ , been flying sead strikes with the f-18 with a load of jsows in campaign about the time I get within jsow max range I got a patriot label coming through the wind screen , knowing is half the battle, time to change tactics., will let you know how I make out with this new threat. Figured it would make interesting reading

If you’re going to bring up something that is out of the ordinary for stock BMS install and the General Discussion forum, like add on theaters, it’s best to do that in the corresponding theater thread in the Theater Discussion Forum!!

Well actually I thought it would bother you more knowing I was a 32er.
-
you’re flying in the 1980’s and using JSOWs which entered service in 1998?
-
The key clue I think is that jsow is not capitalized, therefore meaning just some old weapons, as no one would use JSOWs in 1983

YEP, if both of you knew anything about the Korea80s theater you’d see it has a 1990s campaign, checkmate, if you have a problem with that you should take it up with Molinbalage he built it.

Yep, got transferred to the Kuwait theater of operations the Navy chit canned my ass to the sand Navy for loosing too many planes too Patriot batteries and dammed if the Iraquies didn’t have them also, well after climbing into a F-16 with a couple of HARMs with the HAD system I nailed a SAM site and also nailed the Patriot battery backing it, now to see if I can get those pesky HARMs to fire off the f-18 correctly.

Iraq captured a Kuwaiti owned battery when it rolled into Kuwait City. I know, cos I created the scenario. I also wrote the disclaimer…

The HARM loves Patriot batteries I’m 2 for 2 , still the F-18 isn’t the wild weasel the f-16 is, thought I’d redeem my self in the F-18 , without the HAD pod you’re sam bait.

Yubba, I kind of agree, but in other ways disagree. In the Bug I have the internal jammer so I can put fuel on the centerline. That frees up a lot of ordinance capability. I agree that HAD is great but it almost makes it “too easy”. In the Hornet you have use HAS, use that pinky switch to change the seeker view, and spotting the target on the ground is a lot tougher.
I think my mixed feelings come from the realization that IRL I would kill for HAD, but BMS is more fun the “hard way”. I guess that’s the same reason why I still enjoy Mavericks -

There’s a Kuwait theater?

Yubba, check out the -34, especially p.181. TMS is used a lot in implementing HARM in HAS mode. Speaking of HAS, be sure you get the “RDY” indication on the bottom of the WPN page before you shoot.

Yep, now for the bad news it’s in 32
I assume you mean it only works with 4.32. Bummer. Would’ve gone straight to Al-Jaber first thing. Did a Southern Watch rotation there back in the day.
