I like the pointy nose on the model, but is it supposed to be that pointy?

I do believe the nose of the Huey has become pointier over the year, yes. Perhaps I’m just not seeing it at the right angle, however.
Regardless,

That’s a Bell 212 nose. Bell’s Huey II program - under which legacy UH-1H models are completely rebuild using a factory new Bell 212 tail boom, new Bell 212 tail rotors, new gear box and new T53-L-703 AH-1 engine also provides customers with the choice to fit either the classic UH-1 bubble nose or the sharper 212 nose. For instance, the USAF TH-1H Huey II (which are rebuild former US Army UH-1H models) are equipped with Bell 212 nose and a full glass cockpit. The Philippine Air Force UH-1H Huey II models are instead equipped with their classic Huey noses.
The UH-1J that Radium modeled is an indigenous Huey upgrade program, developed under license in Japan by Fuji Heavy Industries, that has a lot of similarities with the Bell Huey II program - including the engine upgrade to the T53-L-703 turboshaft engine and fitting the Bell 212 nose as well.

Okay, am I the only person that opened this thread for the first time an had “…Just like Saigon, eh Slick?” run through their head?
I find myself wanting to say, “I was nine, a__hole!”
What movie was that?

Die Hard. Hey Radium, any chance of a Vietnam Era version?
-
Hi Parislord!
We have limited the amount of version so something “sane” for the DB … “the more” is not necessarily “the better” considering the maintenance workload behind for futures BMS versions updates. 4 - 3 weeks between releases are already long enough, no need to make it even longer.
Please consider also that Radium has “few” (!) other airframes to refresh after that beautiful UH-1 … look in your Tacref, you will see that many other 3D models still needs love!Regards.

WELL…
In that sense, I have to assume that future versions of the DB will include more volume for more versions!
