Cloud textures

Does this work with 434?
-
-
is this fps intensive like 4.34 in overcast?

No fps impact, since it’s basically changing stock textures for new ones, with the same specifications (resolution, etc).
Cheers

So it’s good news this too, just hate to throw nice stuff in the wastebin.
Ah, and thanks a lot once again for sharing your mod, Nuno, thumbs up to you mate.
With best regards.

Cant get my hands on the files.
Using latest Firefox, tried also edge, only page I can get to is “preview for this file is not avaiable”. I tried logging in, the more button is unresponsive on both clients.
There is no way for me to download from dropbox (clap clap clap dropbox).
Could you, please, upload your files to any other host?
Thanks! -

i dont agree entirely
the fact that some clouds are very dark compared to the others is a real problem
- they provoke clipping (see 1:05 => 1;07 or 3:43 => 3:45)
- some are very dark despite the fact that they are in the upper part of the layer, which is not realistic at all. normally only the bottom part are darker
i tried to code that automatically to have darker clouds in the bottoms , i succeeded at some point but it provoked clipping and was not so good
i do agree that some contrast give some depth perception
i would suggest to NUNO SANTPS to reduce the contrast difference and keep it but very very more subtile to avoid too much clipping
in addition
0:31 , 0:47 , etc… => bad pixelisation of texture on the edges , can be improved as it is eye catching
-
These clouds will be available for download?
Looking forward to test them especially if they have low fps inpact!! -
Hi Apollo 11!
You can get them on the first post.
They’re pretty outdated now, from 4.32, but when I get some time I’ll follow Mav Jp’s suggestions and will try to improve them for 4.34.
Cheers

Glad you like that Arty The song is Pink Floyd’s “Marooned”, from The Division Bells.

I fully agree and noticed those and that is why i said looks and not is real.
Considering is from 4.32 its logical.
But if you manage the magic on having the darks on the bottom, oh boy.
But u have to admit that the plurality of nuno’s clouds is eye catching.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T818A using Tapatalk

Good on ya Nuno!, no doubt in my mind new update will be glorious.
P.s. Hey Mav well done with cloud towers, am seeing some awesome stuff.

In 4.33 i used the Nuno clouds but i kept the standard ‘overcast textures’ as i liked the whiter look better and found it was a much more natural look, I think i’ll do the same again this time around.
i’ll see if i can find a screen shot and post here.
-
Me too, actually!
I use only my cumulus, cirrus and circum clouds textures, for the rest I keep stock ones, since with the changes Mav has done in weather engine from 4.32 I find it was the best result.
