Mission Commander beta release
-
The issue was confirmed by friend of mine, so it’s not coming from my unique environment.
He’s also using BMS 4.34 and MC in Japanese edition of Windows 10. -
Dear Falcas,
unfortunately, still the same issue I reported a few days ago, even with the last version just released.
There must be some odd in my procedure that makes me doing things wrong, I have no else explanation for that.
I’m going to give more details further when I’m back home from work, I’ll update this post. With best regards.

AD set to battalion location: I believe it used to work, though I tried to use it today but it seems not to.

AD set to battalion location
you mean AD assigned to current OBJ?

My bad.
I thought I was copy-pasting AD battalions close enough to objectives, but they were in open land. I tied them to an objective first and used the feature again, it now works perfectly.
I hope you didn’t loose time on this

Hello Falcas.
I should have posted the following question here rather than in the technical support. Thank you so much for all you work.
https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?36068-Unable-to-convert-TE-from-4-33-to-4-34 -
New version released, latest is 0.5.11.403.
Enjoy,

Hello,
Trying to convert a TE from 4.33 to 4.34 with Mission Commander, I get this message after selecting the 4.33 .tac file I want to convert. What should I do ?
Didn’t find any discussion on the forum for that issue.
One element of context may be of interest for solving my issue : I uninstalled BMS 4.33 before installing 4.34 some days ago, and had a copy of my personal 4.33 TE somewhere else on my disk. I recently re-installed 4.33 and copied back my 4.33 TE to the campain/save folder they were originally located and then tried to convert.
Thank you for any help.
You should give an answer to all questions like this.
If you don’t select anything and try to continue, the process will fail.
MC will point you to the changed entity if its possible, but can’t always do this.
So the user needs to do this. Try to get the best possible what you can find, but always pic something. In this example the Chisan road has been changed and renamed. You need to find the same entity.
This entity has become a Intersection. In the first combobox “Type” select Intersection.
The “SubType” combobox gets filled with intersections.
Scroll down to “Intersection 02” and you will see it has the same CT 146.Select “Always replace” if you are sure this is the correct entity.
This will make sure you won’t get the same question for the next mission you convert.Gr Falcas
PS, always use the latest released version, new one just got released

Just what I did. And once I realized how to use it, I was able to convert successfully all my 4.33 KTO missions.
Now it’s time to pass to all Balkans’ ones, I guess. Thanks a lot for your usual kind attention, Falcas.
With best regards.

Good to hear you got it working Jackal.

Hi Falcas!
Latest version of MC shows up an option to choose from “Spain-Portugal” (the former name of POH theater folder) and Iberia (the new one already since POH 0.8.0 and 4.33), which didn’t happen in previous versions.
Could you check it out, please? (or could it be on my side only?)
Thank you

And after taking my time to do some testings (on my little own, of course), I can tell you that the last released version (.403) is even better.
So, thumbs up to you for this also. With best compliments and regards.

Hey,
Its the install that seems to be “off”
As the message tells you, the theater installed on your system is “Spain-Portugal”
You can also see this at the bottom of MC, there it also says: “Theater selected in Falcon…. Spain-Portugal”This means in your registry this is what the current theater is set to.
Take a look at the installer and other files what the Name is set to.Gr Falcas

That’s what’s confusing me. I ran a search on Windows registry and it doesn’t detect any registry related to “Spain-Portugal”, and the previous MC version didn’t show this…
Also, I found that, if I point to the Falcon BMS 4.34 install a second time, then MC will detect “Iberia” instead of “Spain-Portugal”.
Weird…
PS: I’m noticing that, when I enter campaign, everything seems normal. Then I save before exit, and when I try to load a saved game, none of the airbases show up on the selection screen, therefore I’m not able to enter a saved game.
But if I open the saved game .cam file with MC, everything is as it should be, including the campaign time of the save.
Could it be related with the described issue?
Cheers

Hi again, about the issue with campaigns it has to do with iberia.thr file and generally speaking with 128seg theaters. There is a way around. Open in MC your saved campaign and under campaign tab go to occupation map. Enter 0 instead of 58197 in the field “should be” then hit apply and save. Now check if the saved campaign loads in bms

Thanks Mystic,
Yes there are still plenty of issues with 128seg theaters. In BMS as well as MC.
Beside that they are just too largeGr Falcas
