BMS 4.34 No Wheels Bug?
-
Probably mandatory. And seems to be paramount in multiplayer.
Does going opening recon on a target from UI count as going into 3D?

Excellent question, I came to ask last night and got a “very likely not a factor” answer.
-
Blast from the past. Wasn’t this a a bms 1.03 or 2.0 bug all those years ago?
-
What does it mean - “repro case”?

“Repro case” means can you “reproduce the case” or tell BMS what steps to take in order for them to help find the bug.
-
I described it already. I create a simple flight in TE Builder, take off, raise the gear. When I lower the gear in flight, there are no wheels, just struts. I can land and taxi with no problem, just no wheels visible.

Are you able to reproduce every-time? … because on our side we can’t. Looks like more “random”.
If you can repro anytime … then we would like to have a detailed repro case with all your computer, GFX drivers and setup specs.
-
I confirm random experience … It was once or twice in MP & SP . Sorry not more info, but it happens.
-
I’ve seen it once or twice myself….But i thought it might be an ndof & nswitch issue? Once i installed Janhas models, i’ve not seen it happen again. Just a thought.
-
As I wrote before, I saw it only once and then never again. Since then I tried to find out what triggers the invisible wheels for several hours, but I couldn’t reproduce that occurrence again (I also checked all the other Blocks of F16, with the same four Mig 21F-13 Fishbed-C and with different ones). I really have no clue what causes the invisible wheels…

we just had it in the entire squadron with f16 bl50. every single pilot had the same issue…was my personal first time…
so at landing upon lowering the gear, wheels are gone. initially they were there.

Never happened under 4.33?

A perfect example TE to share with the devs.

Question to all ppl who had that issue:
Were you using external views during the session … and especially, the FREE CAM mode?
-
Dee-Jay, I have this problem in the Blk40. Yes I have used orbit and satellite view during ramp and orbit for a few seconds during egress. Has happened multiple times. Never contributed it to external views, but maybe…
Having back read some posts:
Tiger Spirit Campaign stock KTO
Catalyst 15.7.1 drivers
First time to enter 3D.Wheels shown on beginning sim at ramp… after mission and landing safely, notice no wheels on taxi back.

Nope. It was MP session, (F16C52) so I didn’t use any other view then 3Dpit. , but I can’t say for 4 other fellow pilots if that have some influence. I overshoot a runway a bit… and when I did U turn friend was exactly in flare, without wheels, and he continued taxi to park spot, same no wheels., If that can help.
Cheers

For sure it is not MP specific.

Undoubtedly I used the external view (“0” - zero) while landing. But if I also used the fly-by-view by pressing “Shift+9” before (is that the “free cam mode”?), I cannot tell you dead certain…
-
(is that the “free cam mode”?)
Nope. It is different. (-ef in BMS shortcut) and activated by CTL+0 (be careful with that, it may cause some issues).

I definitely did not use the “free cam mode” and never used it so far (sorry for my delayed answer…)
