Realtime data test

I kinda like it a bit more than TacView. :thumb: Add in only battalion icons for ground forces (instead of every vehicle) and it will be very “Red-Flag-esqe”.

If you don’t have lag, +1
The question is, if you have two screens one for BMS and another AWACS on your desktop. Would you have real-time information on all objects? Could it be used as a cheat?
Sorry for my english-google.

Yeap it would be like a cheat.

Same with F4AWACS guys. Or any other computer in virtual LAN on the same network showing F4 UI.

Amazing work pal, Looks promising!

Indeed. And this could be the purpose of this utility, if I got the sense of it correctly.
Even reintroducing a role for a human in MP flying ‘lost’ as F4AWACS is presumed not functioning correctly or at all with 4.34 any longer?Hhmmm….
With best regards.

very nice output keep walking….

F4AWACS was not functional for 4.33, except in PvP scenarios, as it was unable to show AI, but that’s been fixed in the latest version for 4.34. It’s still a pain to set up for the first time, though, and some basic functions are bugged (e.g. changing label colour or importing frequencies from theater will trigger a CTD; AI may sometimes be shown twice if there’s only one, or vice versa) or missing (all OPFOR contacts are labeled “bandit”, there’s no indication of aircraft type or speed), but it’s good enough for basic human ATC / GCI purposes.
Desmoduke, if you plan on, or if there is an option to develop your tool into an ATC / GCI client, are you open to suggestions (e.g. functionality, UI, …)?

Thanks for your kind reply, Eagle-Eye, so my thoughts have been confirmed.
With best regards.

Thanks for the kind feedback.
Making a working product (like an awacs scope) out of this prototype would indeed be a fun project, but I’m not sure it’s feasible at this point.
As you probably have guessed, the prototype is only showing the player’s deaggregated bubble in realtime, which is more or less the same as one would get with an ACMI recording.I might try to get some feedback from the dev team before spending too much more work on this…
A possible scenario could be; all players in the flight connect to a central hub to share their realtime bubble, then run some sort of awacs radar sensor model on the shared bubbles to simulate an actual radar, data link and line-of-sight against the terrain etc…
Cheers

<bump>Desmoduke, any updates on this tool / project?</bump>

Hi there!
Thanks for checking in.I’m still coding on this from time to time, I’m mostly using it as a sand box to learn the Falcon framework.
The last addition was adding the user’s PPT to the map and there’s also a back end service in the works that shares data between the clients (to help facilitate sharing DTC data before flights, for instance)
It’s still early days so please don’t hold your breath.
