Arrester Cable

All is well in the end and that’s the spirit.
Mav ,DJ believe me when i said that I do understand how many hours and time and night without sleep you had to make BMS a better sim.
Me and Nuno do just the same. We spend the last year non stop everyday making changes and keep up to date with BMS changes. We know the feeling.
With all do respect do the newbies around here we ( and by we i mean a lot of good people around this forum) have passed that phase. We are around since the beginning and already contribute a lot to this sim (especially Nuno).
That said i include me in that beer

@Nuno:
Thanks for the polite answer.
By the time I asked if it was possible, but didn’t get a single answer.
At least we get to know now that, even if we spend time and effort trying to help, we still get sarcasm from you.Thumbs up to you, man! :thumb:
You were told in post #2 of this very thread by a well known and prominent member of the Dev team they do not work. Is that not good enough? Do you seriously think if it was as easy as copying data from the carrier to the runway we would not have done that already?
Sometimes, engaging your brain before shouting your mouth off pays dividends too you know…

Really??
The case is closed and they have talked about it already in detail. Did you not read the rest before posting?I think they solved this little problem in a very good way. We all have different mother-languages and everyone interprets the english of the others a bit different, because of his cultural background and his current mood he is in.
We have a great community here, which can be seen very good on this example, how things went of to a joint beer! -

You should have engage your´s before posting and see that the issue was solved.
And from past testing with Nuno we know that is not that simple.
Those dividends were not paid off….

Guys, the solution is simple.
Put a carrier under the runway.
Glad to see the language barrier has been overcome in this thread.

Did you think I didn’t expect a backlash? You were told it doesn’t work, but you all thought you’d prove the Dev wrong… how did that work out for you, apart from wasting time?
-
Well, I thought it was…
Malc, I don’t drink, but I could hold up a liquor store if you really need it that bad…

I guess you think that comment witty and funny? Don’t give up the day job…

Malc, if you were expecting a backlash, why did you write that post in the first place, since the “issue” was already worked out?? One can only take that as a provocation and an attempt to take this discussion one step forward…
No one here was trying to prove that any dev was wrong, where in the hell have you read that in the first place???
My original post was just to say to the OP that the arrester cable feature was not a new thing from U1, it already came with the release from 4.34.
And when I converted our 3rd party theater from 4.33 to 4.34 and saw the new PHD data for the carriers, I’ve made some tests on my own to see if it was possible to make the arrester cables work on the runways. Never pointed a finger towards any dev, never claimed to be smarter than anyone, never even said it could be done!!!
Now, is that a problem for you, what we try to make with our own free time?? Tough luck, mate!
If you’re a dev, then maybe you shouldn’t waste your precious free time trying to comment what we do with ours, what do you think?
Now, please, can we leave this at the party and beer stage? Cloud9 had already payed for the plane ticket, and the rest of the guys have arrived!:D

No I’m serious. I’ll hijack a brewery if it’ll help you wind down.

And once again!!
@Cloud:
Sometimes it amazes me at the things some of the BMS team members say!! :? :?
SMH!!
