Sorry Lorik, i don´t know how to upload a file.
But im the post above ctn808 said it will be fixed.
Thanks for your help. -
Hi all,
after i installed Balkan 4.34.2 over a fresh installation Falcon BMS crash on Startup.
The normal Theatre and Campaign works fine, dont know where the problem is -
Hi Dragoner,
You mean Balkans 4.34.2.1? If so, then same here. In addition my virusscanner detected a trojan virus in the theater uninstaller.exe. I’m back to Balkans 4.34.2 without any problems.;)

So there i am… 5th sortie… Got 2 kills (i think) and im returning at Aviano (still well inside enemy terittory) and i get a “call” from some bandits very close to me (got still two 120’s) so i say ok… lets go… On the attack and when i realize that the fuel is running out and have killed 2 Su-25s i get some 3A and everything goes blank in my jet (luckyly im at 20k feet) i reset everything and trying to do something as i loose power rapidly… at 40% of the engine i do the unspeakable… i turn off everything except the EPU… loosing about 5-6k feet altitude i start to trun on everything… some systems are still dead… Throttle to off JFS… 1st time nothing… waiting… 2nd… nada… 3d i see a glimpse of hope! Needle starts to move slowly to 20% and the rest is history…It started working… BUT! still probably the engine could give me 50% of the thrust so i call awacs for the closest airfield available… and then it happened… CTD… &^%$(@#&^%@$)(!@))!(&#&^R…

… so i call awacs for the closest airfield available… and then it happened… CTD… &^%$(@#&^%@$)(!@))!(&#&^R…
Cheers!
Yep confirmed , I got that crap too when somewhere over amendola or so … dunno really, I got lost … lol … damaged plane , no nav , compass only …
Backup UHF works … 1st time , call to AWACS for ALT RWY … still over sea (from Mostar to somewhere western) … and it replied , kinda normally … some text was “Mike Mike” …
…finally land on the horizon , gave AWACS a 2nd call for ALT RWY … CRASH… oww duck… (so, could be when more then 1 ALT runways are close , so … or in that regard… it is a looong shot conclusion)
So… Maybe you should catch another of these crashes and report in Tech section, seems global BMS error .
(I thought at first that is carrier related only , since I took off in Harrier from Wasp , and ALT waypoint is buggy on carriers, but it shouldn’t be for land based planes)Cheers

Got it again over the same place (or close) but no alt. Runway or shot or whatever. This time freeze and nit CTD… will check more…

Hey Manos,
Start the BMS with “-mono” switch, then you’ll have log in /user/logs dir … at least till crash or freeze.
Yeah I’ve also been unable to reproduce … but it happened once so it may/will happen again.
-
Will do….
Mine happened within the area i have on the circle :
i dont know if it has anything to do with AV-8… (3squadrons in 3 airbases there) cause when i hit 8 to see friendly aircrafts 1 in 4 AV-8 will be shown correctly.I would not be able to see them (witch ever is the view camera even satelite wont show them)
Just saying… -
Manos…
I believe that Harrier is exactly the reason for that crash.
Some parts of AV8B code are taken from helicopters , as they’re also VTOL aircraft , so … look (I missed that part yesterday… bah)
(they , Team, were messing something with helicopters code since 4.34)Falcon BMS.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in: 0000000004B4FDAA Falcon BMS.exe, HeliBrain::GoToCurrentWaypoint()+58 byte(s), d:\wip\bms\svn\code\rel-4.34\sim\hdigi\h_waypoint.cpp, line 51
Now… what exactly … I can’t tell , … BUT!, it is certainly BMS global bug , as helicopters are also affected. … OR - it could be that it is only “player” related , when player is in control of VTOL aircraft
- I need to check one more theory , does all airbases/airstrips have heli-land-points as features … , … so AWACS directs you to the closest strip/base , but there’s no heli-land-point feature , . as Harrier is VTOL it expects one … but if it finds NONE then - crash
Please catch one more , I will try also, and open bug report in Tech-section
Cheers

Ill try as i dont have much time for flying lately with all the model building.
Cheers

I did a bit of digging…
there are 4 AV-8 squadrons in four airbase All around the area i showed on the picture.
Rijeka, Orehova,Slovenj and Cerklje. From those 4 only Cerklje has 2 Helipads the others have none… I dont know maybe you have right about the helipads. Also maybe cause having a Nato sq in Rijeka thats actually Croatian plays a role?Im gonna submit a question anyway to the tech thread

I have met an issue with AWACS: impossible to get the TACAN channel for divert field (in my case it was RIVOLTO airfield…)
without navaids list and in middle of inclement weather, it was impossible to find the runway
-
Thanks Su!!
We are aware of the issue but can’t exactly figure out is it global or theater related, eg. only in Balkans.
Also what plane were you flying … F16 or other? , since Manos and me were “enjoying” the Harrier action at the time , and that plane is kinda’ more specific because of VTOL code.
But if it happened in F16 … that could be something closer to global problem , with theater or BMS itself…
…yeah, need some time for testing that Divert call action
!!!.. would probably be better that we open a general forum thread for this, like with forum poll so ppl would collect some data about this from various theaters , … just simple test - once in a while , should issue a Divert call to AWACS and report what happened
… this way nobody knows other then usCheers
-
Never had it after that 2 times. Well i didnt had to ask for a divert field to tell you the truth. Last mission flown i was hit but still engine working all electronics where out and controls where tilting left, switching flcs to B.U. i manage to fly sefaly back home with repeated calls to awacs where home base is… it came out also wheels wsnt in a good shape also… lol as soon as i touched down they gave up resulting me skidding through the runway but survived i will check it maybe i can reproduce it. Meaning if i ask for divert field and got a crash again then probably something is messed up for sure…
Will report back soon
Cheers -
just download and when log onto bms it crash on me has this happen to anyone ?
-
Weird that.
Nothing bad to report, here. But the same, mate, would you kindly add details to your post?
The more, the better to help you, you know.
With best regards.
