About Rafale

BMS is an F16 sim
Perhaps DCS has a Rafale module?
-
Somethings has changed in the flight model of the rafale? It is quite lethargic now.
AFAIK, no changes.
Rafale do not have AFM.

Hi all
Somethings has changed in the flight model of the rafale? It is quite lethargic now.
Rafale is one of the more efficient aircraft of its generation, a twin engines supercruse aircraft, but in BMS its seems to be an F16, not more.
Can we expect an amelioration?
Thanks
Wacco???

WaccoMy Eurofighter is better than your Rafale!:bolt::yield:
No, cannot say if there is a difference.

In stock KTO theater, Rafale is certainly not an F-16 when it comes to FM.
If you are referring to another theater, I do not know… -

In terms of total thrust, this is sure.
Not in terms of combat radius and autonomy, that is also sure.
A fighter jet always always a matter of compromises depending on what what you want to do with it. -

I fly only KTO for this time, but i just ask if some changes have been done on the FM for rafale because it’s now very difficulte to climb FL400 in A to A configuration, and to maintain M0.9 without AB.
There is any critic or revendication, just a question.
ThanksYou mean in 4.34U4 ?
No change that I’m aware of -

Ok Topolo, thanks for answer.
So, can we expect a realistic update for the Rafale?absolutely you can; expect there will be 100% realistic update in….
____ to ____ weeks.
Anyone want to take a guess?

I think this is the 1st post I read from you that didn’t say it’s better online…

Wasn’t there some statement that especially the Rafale might never get really touched due to Dassault beeing very restictive when it comes to try to make a flight model for the Rafale
-
I’ve found something around the Rafale (not the FM itself as it had not change) that explain some of its poor super-cruise capabilities in 4.34…
So you can expect a fix in 3-4 weeks -

Oh yes, that’s the least to be said …

Grand merci Topolo, une question, une réponse, c’est juste ce que je demandais. Dommage cette pollution de post pour ne rien faire avancer.

Hello gentlemen, I have been away Falcon and forums long.
…one question: Are you aware of any sim incl. BMS which sports either a Rafale C (or Gripen C) along with a detailed high poly cockpit and advanced FM? I take it BMS as F-16 sim has none, FM was answered by Topolo (thanks for clarifying), and Eagle Dynamics does not seem to have one of these either…
Not interested in avionics so much, but cockpit, FM. And pink HUD. Not green or any.Love those huge pink HUDs. As for Eurofighter…they fly over my house every day. I want something a bit more exotic.
…many thanks for any info gents…

You’re unlikely to find a fully featured simulation of a modern fighter, because a lot of stuff about them is classified. The most modern fighter with a decent simulation is DCS JF-17 Thunder, and that one only happened because it’s a Pakistani fighter built by Chinese, so the people making it don’t care too much about it being secret. Even then, it’s not that advanced, outside the fancy glass cockpit the plane is basically a Chinese F-16. It’s fun enough to fly if you don’t mind it being early access, but it doesn’t have any revolutionary tech.

Although wacco deleted his posts, I had a thought about the lower maneuverability and speed in the Rafale he experienced:
Could it be the CAT I / III setting? That could explain it even if there was no code change. The key shortcut could solve this.

Hi,
i’m back with rafale issue.
Drag factor is still unmeasured to my opinionI compare Rafale + 10 mica, drag factor 157 while EF2000 with 8 AIM120 + 2 AIM9x is only drag factor 53
I hope 4.35 U1 will fix this bug.
A big thank you to the BMS team for the work done -
No, drag index will not be fixed in 435, problem has been adressed another way.
You can check performances, they are as expected
