I just installed the latest version and have exactly the same issue. Only some parts of the HUD are shown on the LMFD and RMFD.

Okay, I have done a bit of research and have a solution:
if I use the portable version posted by Oakdesign (the one you unzip and run without installing + native 4.34 keyfile selection) then I have the display problem
If I use the version from Komorku (that requires an install and the registry hack for 4.34) then i do not have the problemI would have preferred to use the Oakdesign version but for now it’s not showing the MFDs properly.
Note: For the registry hack I put in the path to the falcon parent directory only i.e. “c:\FalconBMS 4.34” no additional directories.Trust this helps! Thanks again Komorcu!!! Appreciate the effort Oakdesign!

Hi I didn’t have the time to look into the part of where the display images are cut out of the main shared memory image as on my machine the Displays all show properly. IIRC the coordinates in the Server app are hardcoded and that could be reprogrammed as BMS provides the proper coordinates. I might find some time after I come back from vacations in 2 weeks to fix that in my no installer version.

Yesterday I got a new Pc, the old one did not work anymore, and I started to install all the sw that had in the previous. With no issues I did FalconMfdServer and everything works fine except one: Everytime I load it appears a message that said more or less: “Falcon BMS 4.33U1 version does not exist please select correct version”. When I tried to select the correct one by clicking on the menu it does not appear the current version I have: Falcon BMS 4.34 U4. I installed: FalconMFDServer (3.5.0.0). Any Idea how to fix this issue?
Thanks in advance

Can’t be fixed, I simply click “cancel” and “ok” in the next pop-up window asking for the call sign and all is well. I hope you still have your old keyfile you used with your previous install.
all the best,
Uwe

Thanks Hoover for the input. Yes I have the key file and everything works perfect except what I commented
-
Sounds good, glad to hear you got it working!

Here we are!! with BMS Falcon 4.35. I just installed and everythinks looks ok except one thing: MFDs and DED are Blank. I tried with the “cockpit Display Extration” to set the right position of each display but the new menu on the 4.35 Launcher do not appear that option in the menu.
Maybe is a bit soon, but any idea how to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

Cockpit display extraction is not needed, MFD server reads from the internal BMS memory.
Make sure you have these set in your Falcon BMS.cfg file
set g_bExportRTTTextures 1 // This enables the shared texture memory area for HUD/MFDs/HMS/RWR/DED/PFL. This is independent from BMS external window usage set g_nRTTExportBatchSize 2 // This determines how often the shared texture memory area (if it is enabled) will be updated (every Nth frame, default is 2) set g_bDoubleRTTResolution 1 // Doubles the resolution of the cockpit displays (MFDs, HUD, HMS, RWR, DED, PFL), internal and external
Works fine for me …

Got mine up and running just fine via RTT (p.35, BMS Technical Manual) the option “g_bDoubleRTTResolution” is now obsolete (p. 167 BMS Technical Manual) and is now handled in RTT options.

I also use MFDE, and it does not work without DoubleRTT, not sure why … but if it works, don’t f with it
Conversely, if it doesn’t work, f with it

thanks for the input, I will check

MFDE is working for me with the exception of the MFD’s. It extracts the MFD’s fine when you have “set g_bDoubleRTTResolution 1” as Zipgun says however they seemed to freeze after a minute or so (well twice before I switched to RTT method).
With the MFD’s extracted via RTT I haven’t had them freeze up, yet. I wasn’t on too long, only about 15 minutes in Instant Action testing controls etc. So hardly an exhaustive test…
Update: Seems it freezes every time now after about 10-15 or so minutes. Typically it’s just after I get airborne either from a ramp start or a taxiway start.

I tested two approaches : freeze in any case!
-
I have had a few occasions where MFDE froze ( MFD Server did also), I suspected a glitch in the RTT extraction. When I restart BMS, they seem to go forever without issues (until maybe the next day). I could never get a solid repro case, so I’ll keep trying (no sense bothering Dunc with air-balls).
For me, without the double extraction, i get some puke like this:

I did a test and it seems that I only get a stable extraction if I leave the ‘set g_bDoubleRTTResolution 1’ in the config. Otherwise the extraction freezes. This doesn’t make any sense according to the manual. But you know… never touch a running system
