F4Wx – Real Weather Converter

errr… something has changed , but NOT in F4wx … but in BMS …
I can’t load neither fmap in “Weather Commander” which is saved with the mission file in 4.35 (Korea, Balkans, my custom balkans)… So, please check that first.
When fmaps are created with F4wx I can open/edit them with “WC” no problem. … , or even old original fmaps in campaign dir eg “TvT Coop Event/ Sunny/ Poor”… etc.
But the moment you load that “original” in BMS weather … eg… 10500.fmap or any… and press “Save WTH” , that will save new fmap named as your tac/cam file … and that one is “index out of bounds” in WC…
That should be same file which was loaded via BMS weather … copy/paste.But now WC cannot recognize new file at all.
Has something changed format fmaps saved in BMS or there is something I don’t know about ?

Is that a F4Wx or a WC issue? I don’t understand the issue from your post. If this is F4Wx related please attach the particular files giving problems and/or steps to reproduce.

No Ahmed. NOT in F4Wx-> "errr… something has changed , but NOT in F4wx … but in BMS "
… now that is resolved, Anyway. I’ve posted here since I saw people have problems with fmaps, so just a hunch… For me F4wx works entirely OK.
Cheers

i didnt understand
why do you think there is a problem in BMS ?
i am asking before spending time to chase a ghost maybe ?

Meh my bad… I WAS wrong. It was a problem in “Weather Commander” … not in BMS// – to cut story short … everything is clear in transcript from the first post
Sorry for that MAV… No ghost chase I’m afraid…yet

Same problem here

We can use this for now.
I get bad map in the sim for some reason…
-
IIRC, grb2fmap is the piece of software Ahmed made first and from which F4Wx emerged from. It hasn’t been updated since 2016 and is probably not compatible with 4.35… not even with 4.34 I assume.
-
You can open generated FMAP with the latest WC and save it again.
For the single TE, it is enough.
Maybe for the campaign MAP UPDATE, we need a batch file… -
Really hope that this will be back in working order asap. Ahmed, pleeeese confirm that this is the case.

Wonder why its suddenly not downloading GFS?
-
Hi, it works again
Just downloaded 13 maps
Think it was a GFS prob

regardsProbably yeah, since trying to dowload GFS from elsewhere didn’t work either.

Hi
I still get a downloading file index error message even when attempting to download 10 day old GFS files.
Anyone else still having problems?
