Ice’s Falcon BMS Profile Updated for BMS 4.37

The map is square so if the MapViewer is square you will not see any grey background but you will then have to setup a method to hide the control as you won’t be able to tap/click on the background to hide it since there won’t be one.
By adjusting the size of the MapViewer starting from square you can have as much or as little border as you want depending on how much out of square you make it.
Just make sure you’re changing the size of the actual MapViewer control and not the panel in the profile which contains it.
If you don’t like the grey background colour I chose I’m afraid you’re stuck with it since it’s coded into the dll.:)
Right now it auto-sized to the size of my left monitor (2560x1440), I will play around with it a bit, thank you linknet!

Negative on an old .dll hanging around. The new HeliosFalcon.dll is the only kid in town
Could it be a language issue? A friend of mine with the german 47th DragonFighters has the exact same problem. What information on my language setup do you require?
I do hope we get this sorted since I am grounded without Helios.Run this test profile for Ground OPS Ramp, Ground OPS Taxi and the Spice training mission. Perform a Reset between tests to clear the data.
Let me have the results for all three when you are in 3D then we might be able to determine the problem:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/apa382oqz6o33s6/Test+Flight+Mode.hpf/file
In Flight >>> 0 = In UI, 1 = In 3D
On Ground >>> 0 = Not On Ground, 1 = On Ground
RPM >>> 0 = Engine not Running, >0 Engine Running –---- this should determine if either Ramp or TAXI when On Ground
Flight Mode >>> 1 = Ramp Start, 2 = Hot Start, 3 = Air Start
I haven’t tested this so it may need a bit of tweaking to get it to work.
Then give this modified HeliosFalcon.dll a try:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/djiuwervtmauney/HeliosFalconTest.zip/file
I haven’t tested this either just working on a hunch as to the problem.

Got it sorted, made a new profile, works great! Ignore the missing map section on the right, i’m at Brnik (Balkans) and the map ends just north of there… just have to figure out what setting in config makes the mouse work normally when out of the cockpit… set g_bEnableExclusiveMouseCapture 0 should do it, but doesn’t. // Captures the mouse when in 3D so that you don’t click something on the desktop when running windowed mode

That looks pretty good. I’ll let someone else answer the mouse problem, I’m on holiday.

Sell them and buy an Odyssey G9

Sell them and buy an Odyssey G9
That looks big in the pic but it’s a 49" single vs 96" of triples (I actually think the G9 would be about the same as two of these 32")… I did look into it though! What am I missing to get the mouse cursor to be a Win10 cursor outside of the cockpit without Alt-Tab’ng?

It seems to work now, the “restore a new copy of the profile” apparently did the trick.
Now on the the MDFs, DED and PFL that don’t get extracted and fixing the key file.So far, tnx for the super support.

I’d still like to know if that new copy of the HeliosFalcon.dll works as well, do you think you could test it for me and then revert back to the original. Of course that would be with only that new version of the dll in the plugins folder, no other renamed versions.

The extracts work - funny, how things work, when you do them right:)
What “new copy” are you referring to? Please provide download / file size. I’ll try it -

https://www.mediafire.com/file/djiuwervtmauney/HeliosFalconTest.zip/file
Size is the same as the file in the download but date and time are different: 48,635,904 03/09/2021 16:15:14
Again remove any other HeliosFalcon.dll’s, whether renamed or not, so that this is the only one in the plugins folder.
Please check that Ramp goes to Ramp Start and Taxi/Runway go to Hot Start and that I haven’t got them reversed.:)

Your latest HeliosFalcon.dll does NOT give a ramp start, but the Hot Start profile. The previous .dll works however.
I even entered the 3d world first with ramp start and then started the profile - it shows the correct ramp profile - good show! All in all, it seems as if your latest .dll does not do the trick, the previous one doess. It also starts with the air start profile when entering the 3d world in the air correctly.

This is just to test an alternative method, I know that the dll supplied in the download is working with no problems.

Nope, your latest doesn’t work: Ramp–> Hot Start profile, same for Air start

OK, thanks for testing it anyway, it proves that one of the shared memory variables I had intended to use doesn’t perform as expected, it’s not a problem, I can sort out what I was trying to achieve at a later date.
-
Question regarding you key file though: switching to IFF Master Low blanks the screen for 1 or 2 seconds. It comes back but I wanted to let you know anyway.

How are determine between Ramp and Hot Start through Shared mem? For Airstart WoW would be sufficient enough. But on the ground even so someone might select Ramp Start and TO time is less than configured Ramp Start but more than configured Taxi Start time the jet might be in an intermediate state with some systems already powered up.

IFF Master Low only sends the key combination Ctrl-Alt-F8, nothing else, so something on your system must be picking that up as a hotkey combination or even just responding to F8 alone. Either change the system hotkey or change the keyfile callback combination.

Good point. Currently for Air Start versus Ramp/Taxi/Runway Start using OnGround only. For Ramp Start versus Taxi/Runway Start using RPM > 0. Which, so far, is working correctly with no problems.
For the two test dll’s I tried using Power_Off to differentiate between Ramp Start and Taxi/Runway Start with inconclusive results. Possibly what you suggested might have been the cause.

My little problem. With Ramp all controllers are in position zero, only MSL; Threat and intercom in full position. Where is the mistake?
Thanks again for this great Ice’s Falcon BMS Profile 4.35-10
best regards
