Ice’s Falcon BMS Profile Updated for BMS 4.37
-
<p>I just updated to -12 and my setup has stopped working - no touch is registering! Has anyone else got an issue since the update(s)?<br /><br />Could this be an upgrade to the latest Helios version? My Android version is pretty old, has Helios dropped versions from its support?<br /><br />I have a couple of tests I can do, just in case I’ve made a mistake somewhere - will report back tomorrow evening.<br /><br />TANX<br />Critical</p>
-
<p>@CriticalMass <br /><br />The only changes in the latest version of Helios are the addition of a range of user controls, which wouldn’t have the effect that you mention.<br /></p>
-
<p>Im thinking of adding in some real Cougar MFD frames and ICP.<br /><br />Is there an easy way to move some of the panels to a different monitor. My idea is to run 2 touchscreens, but want to basically move some of the panels to the lower monitor where I can have the center panel and kneeboards, to allow room for some larger MFDs. I can’t figure out how to unlock things to move them around. </p>
-
<p>@gbracer08 <br /><br />These two buttons are lock and unlock all:<br /><img class=“ql-image” src=“https://i.imgur.com/4xAf5O4.png” /><br /><br />So just unlock and select everything and then cut and paste to the new location. All the links within a panel are usually preserved but any links to other panels will be lost and will have to be recreated.</p>

Greetings Helios Team -
Patiently waiting here for your next big profile update for 4.36, but in the mean time, what needs to be changed in the current profile (and/or bin folder) to direct the F-16 profile to reference 4.36 instead of 4.35. I have edited the Pathnames.ini file, but it does not seem to fix anything. What am I doing wrong??
Cheers,

Editing the PathNames.ini isn’t required, it will just get overwritten with the correct pathnames once the profile starts.
Just make sure that the key file is correctly selected as per the original setup guide and it should all still work.
The update for any additional features in 4.36 will have to wait until I return from holiday, date as yet unknown but may be a while.
-
@linknet will this work with Alternate Launcher? Can I still copy the content from your KEY FILE to “BMS auto.key” file used by AL - guess the new 4.36 features just won’t be available via Keyboard and/or Helios?
-
@CriticalMass
I don’t use AL but it all should probably work as before except any new features won’t be available.I won’t know for sure until I return from holiday, date as yet unknown, and download the new version.

Thanks for the info Linknet.
And thanks Micro for the screen capture.

Does anyone know if the files are still available for download. The link in the main post seems to be broken.

I don’t know what’s going on here, the entire contents of the first post has reverted to 435-11 when it should be 435-12.
I’ve raised an issue about this but if it can’t be restored I’ll have to do it manually.

@linknet
No worries, thanks for your huge efforts. Do you plan on putting something out for 4.36, if I may ask?
Best wishes -

Best wishesHas something changed that warrants more than just selecting 4.36 as shown above in @Micro_440th 's post? Seems to work fine for me so far, but I have limited use, just the MFDs and some gauges…
-
@Icer only some features, but my question was already answered above, I only failed to see it
-
Well, I guess for full 4.36 support, the external lighting panel needs a complete remapping
-
Oh, and a new Forum topic
-
That seems to have restored the Web Page for 4.35-12, can you try downloading to make sure it works.
Once I return from holiday, no date yet determined, I will be updating it for 4.36 whatever that entails.
-
@CriticalMass You can wait for a new Exterior lighting panel, or you can mod it yourself. It isn’t that difficult. Just replace some switches with rotary switches and add the respective key files. Piece o’ cake!
ALSO! Just of note, the canopy switch may not work with the updated keyfile binding. Specifically the switch requires to be held in the down position.
EDIT: Two switches that do not work with my edit is the Form & Aerial Refueling rotary dials, since I am “coding challenged”. I’ve tried to use the Lua script for the comm’s volume dial, editing it for the Formation lights, but to no avail so far. I’m sure the wizards of Ice’s Helios profile will be able to solve this issue.

Linknet, Icer and all…Hope you don’t mind the edit of my canopy switch fix. But for those who wish to do a ramp start with the latest 4.36 keyfiles, you will require this to close the canopy…
Cheers,
Jolly
