It seems that no matter what we do to make this sim look more accurate, you guys prefer cartoonish colors . But that’s probably a question of taste.

@molnibalage seems reshade was used…

@DrJester Thanks a ton, friend. I’ll soon re-install ReShade and I’ll give your settings a try.
Hopefully, I was wrong about the FPS cost: I’ll keep a close eye on it. But I can afford a 15-20% hit in most situations (though I haven’t started a campaign yet). Even with the glory that is 4.36’s improved graphics, it’s hard to fly with the washed out look for long.
If I may be so bold: you should post this as a new topic in “Community Mods & Tools”. I’d bet there are a lot of users like us, who would really enjoy a conversation about installing ReShade and tweaking the various shader settings.
Then the flame wars about realism can begin! (Maybe we can start them by trading revised settings back and forth, arguing which sky blue is best. )

@DrJester Oh, wait, they started already, in the several replies above. We’ve successfully hijacked this thread! There go my reputation points…

What matters is that we calculate the right sRGB in sim… Now, if people want to fly BMS with DCS colors, well who am I to prevent that?

Maybe create a “reshade” thread had more sense for reshade lovers

LGSA approach.

@kyros Balkans, and the base is in Croatia. I forgot the name haha
-
@Slothrop hahaha true! It already began.
I think the looks needs improvement in the colour department too. I understand it to be like that in some regions of the planet, but summer, in Europe? I assume it has a bit more colour. Also, it gives some beautiful sunsets haha
I edited the reshade a little yesterday, after I sent you the file. But one thing that I have on almost every game(when I bother with the reshade) is the faux AMD fidelity. Which makes the texture or game look “sharper”.

@Sniper-0
Go here: https://reshade.meDownload the file, execute it and search for your Falcon 4.36 BMS install folder.
Point the installer to “\Bin\x64” folder and make sure you select DirectX11. Install all the shaders so you can have some fun to edit them.My reshade is this, it may not be for everyone, but seems to be ok…
Copy and paste it into a new .INI file of any name INSIDE the \Bin\x64\ folder, oooorrr name it “ReShadePreset.ini”
Now, just run the game, fly and see it. Edit it as you see fit too.
It will take some testing on your end to match your monitor too. Like, important details not be washed out, or disappear with other colours. Hope this helps.
Do note though, you will need to configure a special key for the screenshot inside reshade, as Falcon’s key will not take the screenshot with the effect enabled.
