HMCS Fine alignment

Thanks, AW. When I got there , after course alignment, I got this( with my head slightly turned). The thing is, cursor slew didn’t change anything, nor did cursor enable.
Even later in the flight?

Ensure you are looking straight ahead at the HUD. The HMCS will blank and only HUD will show symbology, then adjust with cursor.

Thanks for the replies. I tried on deck and later in the flight, and got this:
Again the cursor slew didn’t change anything. However, I did get a momentary yellow + sign overlaying the cross hairs. Is that what I’m looking for? If the HMCS was out of alignment, would that yellow + be off-center and I could adjust it with cursor? -
@drtbkj in roll, cursor should rotate the crosses, you must line them up with the big one. If your alignment were to be bad, in this case the vertical part of the crosses would be tilted when compared to the big one. It’s looking OK in this screenshot, when I align it and it looks like this in roll I just push MSEL and consider it done.

Suggest perhaps you try it in the Viper first and confirm it’s not a Hornet related issue?
-
Thanks , Arkady. The main issue was I didn’t know what I was doing .
SOBO, good thought. I did that and it looks the same in both jets -
Only coarse alignment can be done on the ground.
Fine alignment must be done while airborne. -
And in NAV mode. With roll I initiated the cursor movement with a bit of tilt with my head.

@drtbkj - that doesn’t look half bad, though a bit large from what I remember…

@drtbkj - more good info…

…these keep popping up at the oddest of times.
