Solved Mk.84 impact graphic issue
-
I noticed that 2Xmk.84 impact bring way to much effect as seen in the picture.
tried to lower the HDR parameters, did not helped.
Is there a way to lower this effect ? -
fixed in next version

Maybe @I-Hawk can answer…

@regev omg what was the target site? experimental nuclear fusion reactor?
definitely lower your sun visor!
-
I am also seeing this – I dropped a GBU-31 on a SA3 site, slant range was ~12nm and the flash looked very similar to your screenshot. Even through low cloudcover. I actually saw the flash reflected on my toe pedals – I thought I’d been hit, for a moment!
In general I notice almost all light sources are much brighter. Even the master-caution light seems saturated in brightness.
I don’t have HDR monitor, and i have the hdr shader effects turned off. I’ll try turning them back on to see if it makes a difference…

It seem that HDR is not related to this issue.
I am trying something else, in the config there is an option to choose “reduce particle system”, i checked it.
Another thing i am trying, there is a shaders option called “post processing effect”—“HDR lightning”, i unchecked it.I will check if this changed anything, in my next mission.

all the changes that i made, did not solved this issue.
last mission i noticed this effect go through high ground . . . -

Hi @regev , Thanx for reporting
I have a couple of questions please?
How long is this artifact seen? Is it something “constant” that is stuck there or just happening for a few seconds or very short time?
Also, is it happening on any MK-84 drop or just when bombing a target or when bombing a specific target?
-
I test this phenomena using TE i created.
The strike aircrafts are F-16A-15, using 2Xmk.84 (drop both).
The targets are building and bridges.
Every drop of 2xmk.84 have this effect. The bright effect happen for 2-3sec.
Some of the aircrafts in this mission have 2x3xmk.82, but they don’t have this phenomena .
-
@regev please share the TE
-
Sorry, this campaign (KTO) mission i created, not TE.

The activity is around YONAN city.
Also if you can check another problem on this area, maybe related . . . details here -

@MaxWaldorf @I-Hawk I observed very similar effect, flying the IAM training TE (as wingman, dropping GBU-31s).

I suspect a MK-84 effect lighting being too exaggerated but I need to compare to Dev version because in Dev version I cannot repro and I seriously doubt anyone touched that PS effect since.

@I-Hawk Can you give it a look again?
Thanks
-
7:36 if it doesn’t work.
-
This is reported internally for some time.

Checked this again, using now 4.36U2.
the result : Same effect as in U1.
When 2XMK.84 AIR bombs hit the target, there is first smoke and small fire. After a 1-2 second there is this huge lightning effect which last for 1-2 seconds.

Apparently he’s asking I-Hawk to have a look again, not us.

@LorikEolmin ok, thanks
