@fjp Thank you … please… for sure send me when you want
do you remember this 2dpit from Aeyes ?!
as a bomber it was an incredible beast …but I think that in reality it was used for ECM mission … but I’m not sure…
Not quite effectively, dear bro… that one was the EF-111A “Raven”, this was instead one of the several versions of the “mother” of all the Western low-level, supersonic speed, deep strike, close air support (just like this one) and nuclear bombers (another good example for that is my beloved Tornado).
“A beast”, due to her huge payload, as you said.And agreeded, Aeyes’ cockpits are still missed.
With best regards.

@buraktunahan
it’s wonderful news…thanks for your time to improve F15C
it’s an outsanding work !!!
I will try to do my part@Jackal
I also miss Eric Aeyes very much !!! -
@buraktunahan and @qawa
A joint venture among you two guys? Really?
Would be more than a pretty nice gift for sure!
So. Do. It. Right. Now. PleaseWith best regards.

in recent months I have been working on the remake of two old 3dpits (of 7 years ago:) F15E and F104. Dear friends helped me a lot:
F15E - Radium (Hud model & UFC model), JanHas (Ejection seat model), Pumpyhead 2nd pilot model.
F104 thanks to Topolo, Manos81 and WaveyDave, without their help I would not have completed the work.The result is in these screenshots (feedback are appreciated):
after working with Radium on the Cockpit of the Su35 (still to be finished) I 've started a new one… I hope for a nice surprise !
PS: F15E loadout problem it’s under solution
Hi qawa.
First of all, I would like to point out that the cockpit of the F-15E looks great.
On the other hand, since you indicated that we can provide feedback on the F-15E cockpit, I would like to make a few suggestions.
I think there are 2-3 things that are important to make the cockpit look more realistic in BMS:
1- It is very important to model all the important main parts in the cockpit. Missing parts make the cockpit look too far from the actual cockpit and empty. If the main parts of the cockpit are not modeled, the feeling of reality decreases when flying in the cockpit. For this reason, the main parts in the cockpit must be modeled in 3D. As for small parts (eg bolts, screws, etc.), 3D modeling is not a big deal in my opinion as they can be created using textures. In addition, if very small parts are modeled in 3D, the size of the model increases, which puts excessive strain on the computer during rendering.
2- It is very important that every different surface in the cockpit is painted using “different texture”. I can use photoshop very advanced. Therefore, if you model each part of the F-15E cockpit and use a different texture for each part, I can paint each different part with real photos. Thus, we can make a very realistic F-15E cockpit like the one below. This is not difficult at all. These two aspects (model of each piece + different texure) are enough for reality.
I would like to explain this with an example. For example, in the cockpit of the default F-18C, every different part is modeled. In addition, each piece is painted with a different texture. I made an F-18C cockpit as below by covering each different part with real photos. (I shared it with the BMS community because I used non-copyrighted textures in the F-18C cockpit, which I shared with the BMS community before. Now the BMS community uses this cockpit as the default F-18C cockpit. In the F-18C cockpit, which I have given the screenshot below, I used copyrighted textures. More I got a realistic cockpit, but I couldn’t share it with the BMS community. But the cockpit was of course more realistic.)
3- If you use the reflected glass effect for the canopy of the cockpit, your cockpit will be perfect. With no glass reflection, when you close the canopy, you don’t feel like you’re flying in a cockpit.
For example, by changing the reflection texture in the canopy in the default F-16C cockpit, I have a more realistic F-16C cockpit as below.
My advice to you is to use the glass reflection effect on the F-15E cockpit canopy. So your cockpit will be more realistic.
I look forward to having your F15E and F-15C cockpits completed as soon as possible and painting them with photos.
With my best regards.

@buraktunahan Is that the default F16C cockpit? I feel it seems a bit different.

Yes, default cockpit. I just repainted.

I very much appreciate your advice, and my goal is to improve my skill both as a 3Dmodeler and as TextureMaker, so the want to improve drive me to follow all the advices of those who are better than me (and there are plenty… believe me), but you should consider that this cockpit (F15E) it’s from 7 years ago, and although I received precious help from great friends, the textures and the model were and remain 7 years old… my first works in BMS… I’ve tried to improve it but it would been better to make a new one from scratch :lol:
In these years I’ve gained my knowledge by purchasing tutorial in Italian language (and for me it’s a considerable advantage) here: https://www.udemy.com…
I was able to understand techniques unknown for me in the past. So… I very much appreciate your advices (and from all those who are more skilled than me) and I hope that the BMS community will appreciate my new works, and understand the effort I 've put in this last years for to improve my skill.I’m working on a cockpit that I love, and I don’t want to use the rush “to do things” that I had in the past (and have very poor results). Now I want to be more thoughtful and try to keep my work very close to the real one (but don’t expect cockpits at the levels of DCS … at least by me :lol: ) .
I hope that the desire to create new cockpits and new avionics can involve more BMS lovers (but that’s my humble thought…Deejay he hates me for this :lol: ) because it would open a lot of new ideas and improvements, especially for multiplayer.
Thanks again @buraktunahan with best regards

I was just wondering if there was any news on a Eurofighter cockpit as i remeber a very long time ago someone was working on one and had posted screenshots in the old forum if I recall. A quick search suggests there may currently be a completed one in the Nordic theater so I am just wondering if it could be used elsewhere. What can I say every now and then i get nostaligic for the days of Super EF2000 and some RAF roundels of my planes skin
Saying that although I have kept my installations up to date it’s at least three 4.3x versions since i have had any real flight time and that was patchy so I probably have a massive learning curve ahead again anyway before i can likely look at other planes again. Still this game has been one of the first installs on all my machines since it’s release in its various guises for a good reason and I need to dedicate a bit of time to getting up to speed again so I can dive in when I get a bit of free time

Very very nice!!!

Hi there, dearest bro.
Why don’t you join us at OFM Discord, then?
You won’t be disappointed, I can assure you on that.
See you soon there!With best regards.
-
@Jackal Hi Jackal, thank you for your offer. I can see that OFM is hardworking hard to recruit people ! However, I’m already a dev team member, and beside that, I partner with Radium for some projects. Sorry !

Hi, bro.
The fault is mine, I didn’t recall that.With best regards.

@qawa I have to say by the way absolutely gorgeous work there.
-
@buraktunahan Hi, i see your realistic cockpit F-18C and there is still black texture on that big switch on the right side under helmet mounted display knob, i think SimMPOToggle is named that hotspot…? Any ideas how to fix it?

@qawa @buraktunahan real nice work, love to see mudhen getting a facelift. Currently trying to “fix” current 4.37 F15E would love to use your work if its still relevant

@qawa
Awesome works, 'tho at this stage, I’d consider checking with I-Hawk, about new capabilities of next BMS release. As it gonna change things alot. Assuming that high quality pit is at least few months of work, it might be close enough to 4.38 release to build pit to new specs.
IMHO with 4.38 it’d be possible to make pits up to MSFS2020/DCS quality. I don’t think using photo textures and faking smaller 3D elements is a way to go, in VR it’ll stick out as sore thumb. -
@Xeno what do you Think for texture? (I’m graphic designer) @
