@Seifer Thanks a LOT team. Well done

Man I’m stoked at this release!! The ECM suite is such an improvement! I read the dash 1 on it about 5 times and hit the new training TE over and over. It truly changes what you can do in terms of weaseling and brings the strategy way up!
I’m also noticing a massive improvement in my CPU. Load times in the UI for things like recon are now instant, data cartridge saves are the same and I’m hitting and holding 140 fps in the 3d world (running track IR, I don’t own VR).
The team has absolutely nailed this release, I cannot wait to see the future of .37!

Thank you so much.
-
@lew0984 I’ve also noticed the game running smoother in all aspects.
-
@Ferde @lew0984 I’ve only done a couple quick profiling runs, but at a quick glance, my system seems to be completing frames in 15-20% less CPU time per frame, than 4.36.
On the “benchmark” TE, that’s enough to keep me over 60 fps almost continually… where I was around 55 fps average, in 4.36.
The “1% low” fps number reported by FrameView profiling is also improved… was typically ~41 in 4.36 … now is ~47, on my system.
Amazing results, BMS team!

@airtex2019 I was waiting for you I’m curious about some heavy campaign missions though…

Just spent all night flying 4.37 in VR (Rift S) and it’s fantastic! Thanks BMS team for finally supporting it
-
the eagle cockpit is awesome!!!

:]
I don’t know what you guys did, to lay groundwork for VR, but on my oldschool flat screen everything looks and feels very smooth… I notice (just looking at taskmgr) it seems to be using more cores, more evenly?
But the increased feeling of “smoothness” is more than raw fps numbers can explain.

Thanks to the Dev’s! I think to change to the "Alternate Launcher " style UI is wise. You just have to remember to re-set-up your controls. Can you just copy over your 4.36 Auto-keyfile?

Getting about ~ 20% higher FPS in crowded campaign missions which is a nice bonus.

so far as I can tell, you should be able to copy over your 4.36 era key file. worked for me … give it a try.
be advised, the 128-button-per-device numbering is now in effect, by default (as was true in 4.36 if you used Alt Launcher).

Hi, Airtex. I’m good to go on controls, thx.

Thank you for 4.37. Never used the Alternate Launcher until now. Made it very easy to setup my controls. Probably should have tried it earlier. I am not using VR so can’t comment on that. I use AITrack with opentrack and it works fine for me. Thank you again Devs for the update.

@Seifer
Hi,
Thank you so much to you and all the team for all the dedication and skilled work. It’s very much appreciated. Particularily so, in these grim times that we are all facing. I salute you all!Kind Regards

A big thumb up for the while BMS team!

Hi, old user here. I was away from BMS when VR caught me. Gents, you’ve made such a good job! Out of the box it is so smooth and playable in VR that I found myself enjoying fast dogfight like in the old times just after setting axis and keybinds.
Congratulations and thank you very much!!!

Worked perfectly right out of the box for me. There is definitely an improvement on fps. Very noticeable on my low spec system. I only had a few test flights so far. I was already using AL so Ι just copied the controllers xml and was good to go. Can’t wait to see what the future holds. Great work guys!
