Thanks to the Dev’s! I think to change to the "Alternate Launcher " style UI is wise. You just have to remember to re-set-up your controls. Can you just copy over your 4.36 Auto-keyfile?

Getting about ~ 20% higher FPS in crowded campaign missions which is a nice bonus.

so far as I can tell, you should be able to copy over your 4.36 era key file. worked for me … give it a try.
be advised, the 128-button-per-device numbering is now in effect, by default (as was true in 4.36 if you used Alt Launcher).

Hi, Airtex. I’m good to go on controls, thx.

Thank you for 4.37. Never used the Alternate Launcher until now. Made it very easy to setup my controls. Probably should have tried it earlier. I am not using VR so can’t comment on that. I use AITrack with opentrack and it works fine for me. Thank you again Devs for the update.

@Seifer
Hi,
Thank you so much to you and all the team for all the dedication and skilled work. It’s very much appreciated. Particularily so, in these grim times that we are all facing. I salute you all!Kind Regards

A big thumb up for the while BMS team!

Hi, old user here. I was away from BMS when VR caught me. Gents, you’ve made such a good job! Out of the box it is so smooth and playable in VR that I found myself enjoying fast dogfight like in the old times just after setting axis and keybinds.
Congratulations and thank you very much!!!

Worked perfectly right out of the box for me. There is definitely an improvement on fps. Very noticeable on my low spec system. I only had a few test flights so far. I was already using AL so Ι just copied the controllers xml and was good to go. Can’t wait to see what the future holds. Great work guys!

@white_fang 1day 5hr and 36.7GB Uploaded so far! Get that HOTAS boxed up!
-
Thank you BMS team for your hard work!
-
A big, big, big THANK YOU to the BMS Developers Team!!! I haven’t yet the opportunity to try all the new things, but the VR is a fantastic new chapter in the great history book of BMS.
Looking forward forthe next updates, well done and best wishes to the whole BMS community for a great New (flying) Year! -
Congratulations on a job well done! Very nice 2D UI, love the integration of Alternative Launcher as well. Looking forward to discovering the improvements in BMS over the next few weeks. Thanks for all that hard work! The sim loads much quicker, and seems more stable too, well done!

@drtbkj and @airtex2019 but then you won’t have the new 4.37 ECM and VR callbacks. Add those
to the old BMS-Auto.key and pull it over and let me know how it works out since I need to do it to get all my old keybinds but can’t get to my BMS computer right now. -

@Snake122 @drtbkj I think I’m wrong … AL will “import” all the keybd bindings, but not the dx button bindings.
I’ll start a new thread on this … if there’s no easy answer, maybe I’ll crank out a little “import” tool asap.
Well that’s all I need because I use the AL for the DX bindings and is well worth it with all my USB devices.

Snake, I wasn’t sure if I was doing it right, as me copying the AUTO keyfile didn’t work for me. I just went ahead and reset the controls. I consider
it a win for us that the “alternate launcher” is now stock! -
I’m so happy that BMS has VR support now. Can’t say I missed my sim pit very much. Worth the sacrifice. Using the mouse took some getting used to but it’s fine now. I now have one mouse by each hand and it comes in handy. Got bass shakers under my chair and oh wow the immersion, first time flying I was like wow wow wow wow… Wow. Thanks devs for the best gift money can’t buy!
