Solved Dead ships still show in RWR

Destroyed ships still show up in RWR.
Also there is no visual cue to indicate a ship is destroyed, no smoke, fire. The only way I know they are dead is in debrief.
Something like this would be good. Some smoke, fire.
Used to work. BMS earlier version.

Issue with ships not burning was found to be a problem in ParticleSys.ini file and overall my mistake (Honest mistake, seems like some kind of wrong copying from Development version, sigh, sorry for this).

Hi,
If possible, please make a TE in Korea with some dummy ship, sink it and see if there is no effect. I personally improved the effect internally and for sure the changes are in 4.37. If something it’s wrong also in Korea, please let me know.

Hi I Hawk I’ve done lots of anti ship sorties not getting any smoke, fire when ships are dead they just sit there. In 4.36 they disappeared so it is different. Can you show a screenshot of destroyed ship with smoke, or what it is supposed to look like.

Not 4.37 but this is how it’s supposed to look after destruction. Then after burning like that for about 5-10 minutes (depending on damage IIRC), it should disappear and leave a burning stack for a few more minutes.

This guy got hit by 2 Harpoons.
After he is hit he stops shooting and is apparently destroyed.
And no smoke or fire he is just sitting there…
Could it be graphics settings maybe? What if I max everything and check it.

IRL, an inoperative ship won’t necessarily sink. It is even not necessarily out of electrical power.

Thanx for testing!! And yes, I was able to run a fast test and I confirm, I hit a cargo ship with 2 Harpoons and seems like it is not destroyed (it just kept going like nothing). This is a show-stopper and should be fixed for U1. Thank you!!

Issue has been spotted an lies in the increased strength of ships. This has been the case for quite a while, but went unnoticed it seems. Thanks for bringing it under our attention.
