4.37 Update 1
-
Hi Dear BMS Team.
Is it possible to have full installer with embedded the U1?
Gundam
-
@gundam not yet…
Probably when U2 comes to leave the liberty for people to update or not…
-
@MaxWaldorf oky. Thanks for the feedback.
-
Am having “Online version check failed! Please try again” when attempting to Update, and my network is good. Any ideas?? Thanks
-
@Sniper-0 I quit the launcher and retried, and it worked. YMMV.
-
Hi. I need some help. When i launch Update.exe i have this error message
“Version file not available! Aborting…”
Because of i have a “particular installation” (under Lutris) i would like to know if the error message is related to something on internet or to the local BMS version.
Thanks!

Great job. Now starting to get some polish… and 4.37 is awesome.
-
Thanks for the fast update!! Great Work BMS Dev Team!!!
-
@gundam I solved with an hyperbolic manouver… i copy and past the directory on Bubbles where update works and after move the same directory under Lutris.
And it works. The server goes in ramp much faster!!
-
thanks a lot !
-
We are eternally grateful to the dev team for the no-render option for servers. really a great help to all those who manage one.
-
Are you having any issues with updating using the “regular” BMS tools? Inquiring minds want to know
All the best,
Uwe

@hoover Hi Hoover.
Yes. I run BMS server under Ubuntu 22.04 with Lutris. Under Lutris if i try to run Update.exe or even the incremental.exe this doesn’t work.
On update.exe i have the error described in the previous post “version file not available, aborting…”, with the incremental simply do not start.
I saw that under Bubbles (where BMS do not works for me) update works! so i copy and paste the directory under bubble instance , update and after move back under Lutris directory.

Thanks for this update !
Just a newb question, since 4.37.1 the Alternative launcher ask to “register” (callsign and Full Name) it won’t launch nor update.
What is this registration ? Is it logbook related ? -
@SHARP54 it is to avoid having people called viper everywhere…
-
@MaxWaldorf in the past that would overwrite a old logbook if using the exact same callsign and maybe the .ini too. Not sure if @chihirobelmo has it still it functioning that way but @SHARP54 if you want to keep your old logbook know that this could be a thing.

@MaxWaldorf said in 4.37 Update 1:

Thanks for your answers.
So with the usual launcher, the logbook can have default names.
With the Alternative Launcher you can’t anymore.
No biggie, but I prefered to ask before overwriting something.
Thanks. -
Many thanks to the “Update”-Button in Launcher.
Makes it very easy now to update.Thx
