F-18 Hornet WIP

it is with my dumb ass trying to achieve a good model as fast as possible, i missed a very important issue with the uv maps of my hornet model. So i will redo the uvs again and also add pilot and exterior cockpit model. Apologies for the delay this may cause. Thanks to everyone’s support up until now, especially @Radium @Stevie @Fresco.

Apologies for the big delay, i lost my file, i had an earlier backup and had to redo some stuff, which was fast enough since i already did them once. Had to redo uvs which was taking alot of time. But anyways this time im following more references and for panel lines it will look much nicer!

@Stevie its just a placeholder for now, something for renders, once its exported to falcon, the material for the canopy(glass) will be assigned

not much to show this time around, but redid my landing gear completely. now it looks like its real life counterpart -

VERY NICE! If I may make an observation, the square access doors , like on the nose, don’t reflect the SH’s reduced RCS traits

@drtbkj - the close shot that shows the surface detail on the fasteners is also off - all of the fastener heads (Hornet and Super) are flush, without any visible countersink. You should be able to fix that in your bump map, I’d think.

took me some time, but refined the gear according to real life references.
Thanks to @Radium @lazystone for their very good feedback and advice! gonna fix the texture that are a little messed up and try to make it matte color instead of this shiny

@okayasugf Damn she looks mighty real
BTW if poly-count didn’t went out trough the roof, canopy glass could use some more smoothing. It’s very minor thing, but noticeable compared to the rest of this magnificent model. -
@Xeno i think your graphic cards can handle a few 100k tris , so yes ill be increasing that pronto!
