Has anyone bought and tested the TM TQS?
-
Hehe i know this will come up, i just left it empty i checking the manual but i think its not implemented
And donāt be supriesed the switch from āPitch ALT HOLD / A/P / ATT HOLDā is not movin in 3D, at least when i tested it in the GroundOPs TE
Edit: didnt find any info in the 34 about the BIT at the CMDS

One thing to keep in mind is that the new TM TQS also uses āvirtual buttonsā in addition to physical switch positions. Looking over the manual, is appears that virtual buttons must be enabled/assigned to get three position selections to work as expected. Double check.
-
thats correct, but the Alternativ Launcher sometime doesnāt recognizes when your are moving the switch from ārealā dx to a āvirtualā dx postion , so it was with me / my TQS
-
Thanks and yes āvirtual buttons enabledā - just donāt work as expected. That ios to say the virtual buttons are recognised in the AL but you are not able to assign them! - hence the āreleaseā workaround. Which does works as some very helpful others have outlined above. Mine all set now too thanks all.

All sorted now thank you.
My pitch ALT hold etc etc all functioning and showing as such in 3D.
Iāve been using the Nav TE for my testing and setting up but doubt that makes any differance!
Thanks for all your help.

We should write a summary about the dx issue and pin it with the workaround
-
Lol - you give me too much credit in my ability to do what you suggest on the forum. If I could I would, so definately a really good suggestion to save others the hassle!
Took me the best part of the day to get my head around using the āreleaseā mapping trick!
In my defence, Iām getting on in life!Regards,
Gary

wrote a summery can someone tell me if its understandable

Looks good.
Just two observations from me.
First line possibly should say āno timeā rather than "now time.
Also might be worth clarifying that virtual buttons ARE recognised - just not assignable?

@Echo - I had that problem once with the stock Launcher/Setup and trying to set Trigger Detent 1 and 2. I solved it by making one selection first and then moving the Trigger into the position I wished to set and then making the assignment. Might want to try that - I had to try this several times to get it to work.
-
@Echo jejeje, sorry but I donāt have new tqs . I have sismo cards, but I suppossed the base is the same
-
So, do we have an early verdict on the product?
-
@huffer2
The cable has USB-A and C ends.
C type goes to the TQS, not to the PC. -
@Echo said in Has anyone bought and tested the TM TQS?:

May F-16 avionics does not allow AP settings on the ground because of safety reasons You donāt really want to try to take off with AP working
-
@huffer2
Viper TQS is connected and functional.
But I canāt find that in T.A.R.G.E.T to program some scriptć
Is there anyone who was successful at the TARGET script with Viper TQS.
-
We have to wait ( 3 or 4 weeks ? ) a new version of TARGET.
A bad joke from TH : they release a beautiful car without any steering wheel.
And we are enought stupid to buy it. -
You do not need TARGET in order to make full use of the TQS and panel. (backlighting maybe aside)
Just in case others didnāt know that.

Thank you for your input.
Yes, I know but at 50% of its capacity .
I want the steering wheel because I use to drive like this and I need 100%.At the moment, the ācarā is waiting in its box, thing I donāt find funny.

Iām not sure a couple of LEDās not working is representative of 50% functionality. Personally I would say its already 90% functioning as intended but we all make our own judgements and have our own priorities of course.
Iām sure you will love it when the software finally comes and you can use it to its full potential though.
