NEW WINWING ICP
-
@tptp149 That is GREAT news! I’m glad you got it worked out and can enjoy the new addition to your pit!
-
I just ordered one, trying to use my mouse on ICP buttons was very annoying with my TrackIR 5. My TrackIR settings are at low levels for head movement yet even zooming in on ICP to use rocker button is a hassle. + and - keys work but I try not to use keyboard commands. This new ICP hopefully will make the sim more enjoyable as spending less time focused on using the ICP in the BMS sim. I’ll report back on my findings.
-
@mjones just got the email that my pre order is ready. I’m stoked. I’ve been using a tablet running an ICP/DED app for the past few years. Gonna be great to actually push buttons
-
@mjones and @Quasi_Stellar , I got mine for a week now and it is great, with the only unknown factor being its longevity, especially for the silicone buttons. Unless you intend to build a real cockpit, in which case you should buy an ICP without the DED from other manufacturers, you are going to love it. It made me want to go even further and I I have ordered two MFDs. I hope they run as smoothly as the ICP does.

(Except the Warning Reset toggle. I’ll need to look into that.)hi
to configure the drift c/o, norm and warm reset button:
1 select the -ON line move up to DRIFT C/O and leave it in this position, then save.
2 select the line -NORM move the knob back to NORM and save.
3 select the _WARN RESET line, move the knob down to WARN RESET and KEEP HOLD, then save. -
@djetdail take a look to my lights config
Edit, sorry this is the way I use.
-
@djetdail Thanks! Your method works great. I appreciate your solution!
-
Installed ICP/DED and SimAppPro, set all ICP functions to Launcher, works great!
-
@mjones Sounds great, I expect mine on Tuesday, next week.

Can someone tell me whether the ICP is displayed as a device in the Windows gamecontroller? Are all buttons and axes shown there?
The background to the question is whether the ICP can also be used in other games, without the Winwing software. -

Yes, the ICP is displayed as a device in the Windows gamecontroller…with buttons and axes…
-
@Thomas-Mann. To add to the above, the only reason you need the Sim App is for the display to work. To assign the buttons and axes, I use the BMS AL.
-
Thanks, order is otw
-
Inspired by reviews in this thread, I order a copy as well.
Looking forward to using it. -
Received mine today. Easy installation. DED works flawlessly. Ready to put it through its paces…

Anyone get the MFD combo (with displays)?? How is it?
-
@Tiger-0 @Revientor Have you already assembled yours?

I’m waiting for someone who ordered the ICP and MFDs to report back. The ICP seems to be great. I’m also interested in the MFDs.
I had a look at some reviews of the F-18 MIP with MFDs, but they are all the same template review that they’ve apparently been asked to do.
Some “reviews” are positively rubbish, and fail to show the details that matter (e.g. what do the displays actually look like, viewing angles, bleed-through, color reporduction, and response time/refresh rate).
From what I can tell, the displays are actually pretty good. Too bad people don’t take the time to show them.
-
@Tiger-0 Sorry, before I asked the other guy so he could answer you. I know he recently bought the legend mip version, but I don’t know if he has already set it up
