OF mods: JanHas, realism patch?
-
I’m sure when Janhas is done everyone will be able to use a 3D printer and make his own full scale F-16
Edit:
Actually it would be cool to split the model in something like lego blocks for this purpose -
Even 1:32 models don’t have that amount of details, a 3D printer would be interesting approach for this…

3d printing as in modeller himself scratchbuilding parts from styrene and whatnot usually takes care of those details just fine in any scale… tho i agree, with 3d printing becoming mainstream detailing will get more exciting in the future for sure.

I have a AC-130U Spooky II on the shelf (build in January). It’s available on my website. http://www.launchvipers.com/Files/AC-130U_Gunship.zip
I also made some new walls for the bases. I still have some to do… After a distance of 100 the lod changes to a low detail model with a smaller texture. Burned skin included. Release after I have made the last few wall’s.
F-16 progress is quite good. Moving parts are skinned. Now I’m working on the wheel well’s.

It’s the F/A-18B from Legacy Hornets package. It does not have the latest update. I have a C model with new engine, wings, intake, nose and the updated F-16 Helmet. I have to add all the new parts to the other models but that is just a simple but time consuming process… Little by little I will add those new parts, but the main focus for now is with the F-16. The other models are just small projects on the side.

Small update: I have run out of space… I need to tweak and move the texture layout for some off the parts. It takes a lot of time because I have to select all poly’s of a particular part. I have sorted all poly types together (7 with 7, 9 with 9 etc.) so the graphics engine will load the poly’s faster. Downside is that tweaking takes more time… As you can see the only part to fill is in the lower right corner and finally add the wire and hoses on the transparent texture. In all it’s just a big puzzle and the only help is from a puzzle box that has been cut to pieces and spread all over the place… Not much fun, but I’ll get there…
Group wall 1 done too. Group wall 2 and 4 to do…

To the above. WOW :bowd:

Janhas,
Nothing to say except wow!
I think I have to consider upgrading my computer seriously. It’s worth of it.
