Saitek X-52 Profile
-
I’m having a bit of a problem here. there is no way i can Lock on \ off a target…

Make sure you have “BMS HD Final.pr0” loaded in your Saitek Profiler…also make sure you load the “BMS HD Final.key” loaded in the Setup/Controllers UI in Falcon.
One by one, go through and test TMS up, down, left, and right buttons to verify the assignments match the button mapping image that came with the download.

hi harddeck, your profile seemed to me more realistic among other guys x-52 profiles…
i’ve just got new X-52, but i dont have TrackIR. So i have to use one of the HAT Switch on the stick to look around… Do you have any proper profile for that ? Thanks in advance… -
Love your profile HardDeck - just wanted to chime in and say thanks!
One thing I keep doing - I fly all the way to my SEAD target, take out any radars with my AGM-88’s, then retrim the aircraft in mode 3.
forget to go back to mode one, ccrp , release cue , hold pickle and eject ! :headb: -
I am having serious issues because of another controller’s ID. A couple things work, but how do I remap the primary buttons if the button itself does not work? The scroll wheel on the throttle is not recognized in game, though the middle click is, the speed brake slider no longer is mapped and so on. Is there an easy way to just add the button numbers to the keymap? I am confused with the profiler vs in game settings. Can a brother be helped? Thanks!
-
Randomly it will work properly, usually after I pull both controllers and plug them back in. The X-52 is mapped correctly, and the MFD on the throttle shows what is going on. Then just as randomly nearly everything quits working and buttons aren’t recognized etc. Everything is still fine in the profiler. I am confused.
Here is what my MFD gets stuck on. The pinky usually does the deed.

Try to decrease the length of the name of the button you set in the software, if its longer than the display can display this thing can happen. I had it too and by decreasing the length I got it sorted.
Cheers

Is anyone else having problems with the length of the names? Thanks for the info Fenrir. I am confused how the profiler does not work correctly with another controller plugged in. Newbie alert here. I have used controllers for a long time, but almost never used a profiler, especially when we are talking about shift functions and many axis.

I’ve re-abbreviated all the names and mapped things correctly in game and I am good to go. Thanks so much for the settings and the cheat sheets. Invaluable and well laid out. Now just need to get my freetrack 3-point clip built and I’ll be in bu

So now I can only eject using the keyboard! Man I felt stupid after doing that the first time…you can imagine how I felt after the 2nd time! doh!

AWEOMSE SAUCE Profile Rocks!

just got stalker/flounder’s x52 and got your profile running. awesome job, now i just have to learn where everything is again.
-
lol this is insane… out of every flight sim I’ve seen they have all been a pita to get your controls right, but this game takes the cake. I have no idea what I’m doing, Im loading the profile, following the instructions, but it doesnt seem to be working.!!!

Given that it’s all based on pretty old technology/software/programming it’s not a surprise, I guess. But, yes, it can seem more difficult than necessary. Not to mention the Saitek software is no picnic to setup.
Anyway, I can assure you that if you’re following the instruction correctly, the profile does work as advertised …. I’ve used it ‘as is’.
Exactly what issues are you having?
-
I had a great person last night help me for like 2 hours on TS3. He helped me get used to this game in general, learning how to start , fly and some weapons! great guy! But he flew with an xbox 360 controller, lol. in anycase, I need someone with an X-52 controller to possibly walk me through setting this up. Everytime I think I’m getting ahead, something is always wrong.
-
I use a different profile for my X52 none pro.
What issues are you having at the moment?

Gotta love it when someone comes here for help… then just vanishes

Maybe they just got busy or real world stuff happened. Sometime that does occur.

I like this profile for the most part, but I am not crazy about using the mini stick for radar. Is there a way to remap it? I don’t really understand using the keyfile, it seems to override the SST software?

SST software is just building a keyboard emulation model. The keyfile controls what a given key command does. In other words, SST ‘presses’ the key and the keyfile executes the command for that key. Therefore BOTH must be synchronized to each other.
Yes, you can remap the mini-stick …. just put in whatever keyfile key assignments you want.
Although, IMHO, you can get 99% of the functionality with 99% less trouble and 99% fewer headaches with a DX profile instead of a ‘keyboard emulation’ profile.
